It was a mild day outside in Charlotte, North Carolina. Yes, this is football weather. Weather for the Carolina Panthers, coming off a solid 12-4 regular season. Little did they know, however, that it would be Steve Smith’s final game in Carolina. Steve Smith was the greatest wide receiver to ever play for the Carolina Panthers. He is predicted to even enter the Hall of Fame, but not before being a draft steal in the 3rd round and having a stellar rookie season. Many NFL greats can see Steve Smith being inducted into the Hall of Fame in the near future. 1Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin praises Steve Smith. The Carolina Panthers found themselves a star in Kelvin Benjamin drafting him 28th overall in 2014 draft. We took him 28th overall I think he has already become a steal for the Panthers and Dave Gettleman who is a great evaluator of talent. He took the NFL by storm becoming quarterback Cam Newton's favorite target right away and for good reason; setting Panther rookie records for receptions receiving yards and touchdowns with 79 catches 1008 yards and nine touchdowns.
Cam Newton has made a lot of achievements and has accomplished a lot to be in the
Recently, all-time Raiders legend Tim Brown was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was the highest drafted black quarterback ever. That year, Steve signed a contract for $28.4 million for 7 years, and the first thing he did with that money was build a new house for his mom in Mt. Olive, MI. At 22, he was the Oilers highest paid player. In the offseason that year he was tutored intensively. His primary mission in the 95 and 96 season was to absorb knowledge and make the leap to the NFL. During his rookie season when the starting quarterback was injured, Steve played against the Detroit Lions the second half of the game. He completed 16/27 passes for 203 yards including a TD. He started the next 2 games and won both. During 1996, he played 10 games and started 4. The team went 8-8, just missing the playoffs. During the 1997 season, Steve had 674 rushing yards, which was the third highest for a QB in the NFL. He had the second best overall rating of any QB drafted in the last 6 years. He led Tennessee to the AFC Championship. The Titans moved on to their 1st Super Bowl berth, where they faced the St. Louis Rams. Steve became the second black QB to start in the Super Bowl. Another key factor is the development of downtown Charlotte including the best minor-league ballpark since opening last season; paired with Bank of America Stadium downtown has become a great atmosphere for fans of all ages to enjoy the sports the Queen city has to offer! Another great thing about sports the fans that have been a part of Panther nation from the beginning are now carrying on the tradition their parents started when they were younger and now are PSL owners cheering on the Panthers season after season passing on the joy to their kids. It's amazing the trickle-down effect sports can have on fans and what that has done for the Queen city. I'm an example of that as my first Panther game was when I was six years old and I am now 19

Being diagnosed with cancer, he made a speech “When I found out I had cancer, there was one thing I could do, I could stop fighting or I could Keep Pounding”, this speech of Keep Pounding has become a beloved quote of fans, players and anyone in the Panthers organization today or ever. On December 26, 1960, the Green Bay Packers were down 17-13 late in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback, Bart Starr took the field with one-minute remaining to try and lead his team to victory in the National Football League Championship game. Ultimately, the Packers would come up ten yards short as Vince Lombardi would suffer his second straight championship defeat. A dejected Lombardi was quoted as telling his players, “That will never happen again. You will never lose another championship game.” (ALFCA, 2017) One thing was for certain, when Lombardi said something, he meant it.

With a million articles out there talking about all the great Steelers players, I thought I would talk about the Steelers in a different way. In this article, I want to pay tribute to not just the players but the Steelers team members that helped build the team into what it has become today. I want to recognize those Steelers inducted into the Hall of Fame for their hard work, dedication, and talent. The Steelers have 28 players inducted into the Hall of Fame, yet not all of them are players.
Despite a long history of success, the Broncos have been vastly under-represented in the NFL Hall of Fame. Although, there are four former Broncos in the Hall of Fame, there are teams that have had much less success that have more players in the Hall. As Michael Jaycox at Mile High Sports once stated: “There are five franchises with over 20 Hall of Famers, eight with over 15, and 14 with over 10; yet, the Broncos can muster just four.”[1] This goes to show that there seems to be some bias against the Broncos in Canton, Ohio. Even with those four exceptions, three of those took obscene amounts of time to be enshrined. There have been several players and organizational members with far less notable careers who were enshrined without question.
