Career and College Research Paper
Ever since I can remember I have wanted to do two things with my career, and that is to travel and to meet as many new people I can. In becoming a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, those cravings can transform into my own reality. Becoming a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR) has been on my radar for quite sometime. Furthermore, It is going to be vital for me to advance my education and receive a college degree. It is an absolute necessity to comprehend the learning and training requirements, skills or talents required, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when beginning your future.
You can find this job virtually everywhere, and I say that because anywhere there is people, there is medicine. A nonchalant work day for a PSR could be going to a doctor’s office to discuss a purchase, attending a clinic to inform about a particular drug that is on the market, or even catching a flight for an out of state conference (“Job Description of Entry Level Pharmaceutical Sales”). A perk of being a PSR, is that you can chose your own work hours as long as you are not working through a company. As far as location goes for a PSR, they tend to be world wide in the sense that every place needs access to prescription drugs. That is also why this specific profession is in such high demand across the map, because medicine is a needed regardless of location.
The work you will be doing while as a PSR is most always going
The career I chose to undertake as my profession is that of a mechanical engineer. Why do I want to become a mechanical engineer? Well, for starters, I would be able to design, build and possibly repair many various machines and other technologies that are complex. These technologies can range from being already in use on a global scale to new, futuristic designs that are highly technical. Also, this career includes being a sort of jack-of-all-trades, where I would possess knowledge in mathematics, physics, etc. Finally, this career offers me the chance to expand outside my immediate area since mechanical engineers are well desired around the globe as well.
Over the past century the practice of pharmacy has evolved from a field with few specialties typically focused on compounding and filling prescriptions to modern pharmacy practice which has many different specialties. Due to the many opportunities in the field of pharmacy one assignment I completed was the APhA Career Pathway Evaluation Program to see which specialties I hay have the most interest in based on a series of questions I answered. In the following paper, I will list and discuss these results, point out some of the positive and negative attributes to each career choice, and will make an assessment on which careers may be the best form me and some of the options I disagree with.
that would allow me to have a higher income than I would be likely to obtain as a
In the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, I learned a lot about the Pharmaceutical career. In the morning I would be working with the pharmacy team. On the pharmacy team I would receive notes from which the doctors prescribed. After receiving the note I would look

When I first read To Kill a Mockingbird, I fell in love with Atticus Finch’s character; he was a calm, fair lawyer who fought for the wronged. Lawyers represent individuals, businesses, and organizations in court, as well as read wills and deeds. Criminal prosecutors represent clients who have had a crime committed against them. I chose this career because being a lawyer, especially a criminal prosecutor, requires laying out facts in a clear and concise manner, as well as verbally framing evidence in such a way as to support my client and convict the defendant, and elucidate upon the case itself. It is important to understand and be able to fulfill the education requirements, skills needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties performed when choosing a career.
On August 21, 2012, I attended a career panel conference presented by professional pharmacists. I was surprised by sheer number of different types of professional opportunities available in the pharmacy profession in the United States. By comparison, in my native country,___________, pharmacists provide mainly one function with little variation. Some of those, such as home infusion pharmacy, were specialties that I had never heard of before. Some of the options available to pharmacists in the U.S. include faculty teaching positions at pharmacy colleges, clinical pharmacist, in-patient pharmacist, out-patient pharmacist, compounding pharmacist, and pharmacy resident.
Career college preparation typically involves various amounts of post-secondary curricula, just as any traditional college and university would. However, suppose after a considerable investment of resources, one’s misgivings lead to an about-face and a college or university’s doorstep. Might some of those education credits in the career college carry eligibility for transfer where they count for college credit? Generally speaking, unless articulation agreements between subject institutions exist beforehand, salvaging previous curricula probably fares poorly and tenuous at best. And for this reason alone, students find themselves saddled with substantial debt and proprietary education of little value elsewhere. Not to mention the term “college”
My career goal is to become a proficient historian and history college professor that is engaging and makes history come alive, interesting, and still be accurate because I believe that history is still, and always will be relevant to the present. And without a fundamental understanding of the past, we will not be able to make informed political decisions about how our country is governed, who governs it, and interactions with other countries. One of my personal goals is to be a well educated person including: being fluent in one to two modern languages other than English, read ancient text proficiently in one to three ancient languages, travel frequently to learn as much as I can about the various modern cultures of the world, and to travel
College students do not meet current qualifications to land a job in their career of choice. This is because students lack in areas that are not always implemented in college such as critical thinking, problem-solving skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills to name just a few skills college students do not encompass. College students who do have the required skills to take on a professional job after graduation are more likely to be more successful. However, since most students lack in these skill areas, it is assumed by employers that they do not have enough experience to take on a large role resorting to part-time jobs and underemployment. Students must then figure out a way to make the last four years at college count by
The career I have chosen is called Art or Creative Director. An Art/Creative Director is someone who is responsible for the overall atmosphere or appearance of films, television shows, stage productions, magazines, newspapers, advertisements, and multimedia products. My interest in the pharmaceutical profession originated due to a personal experience, which was a turning point in my life. In 2008 I was diagnosed with a generalized anxiety disorder which affected my ability to perform at my best in school and college for several years. As a young teenager I had a hard time coping with the new environment after moving to the United States from Armenia at age of 12. After seeing a psychologist and taking medications that helped me cure my depression, I understood how life changing they can be. I decided that I want to be that person who can offer his help and cure others.
What does success in college and career look like to you? Many students in college might see success by the number of credit hours they have completed, their current grade point average, or the degree they are seeking. A chosen career could be the avenue a person chooses to rise to a certain level of self-esteem and monetary worth. All in all, I see success as a road less traveled, hence a straight and narrow path that follows God’s roadmap for success in college and career. The journey of college and a chosen career is chosen by many, oftentimes a person begins the journey and takes an alternate path; a detour. In order to be successful in college and a career, choose to plan your itinerary, build a sound
