Topic: “Cardiovascular disorders instigate respiratory disorders and vice versa.”
Introduction:
Disorders are diseases that usually affect one or more of the body systems. Cardiovascular disorders are diseases that affect the either the blood vessels (such as veins, capillaries and arteries) or the heart – in some cases both. These types of diseases affect the cardiovascular system, which is the system that circulates blood throughout the body system via the veins, capillaries and arteries. According to research by the Journal of American Medical Association, at least the lifetime risk for men and women to develop cardiovascular disorders are more than 50%; even when not in danger of the risk factors contributing to cardiovascular disorders, the risk is still more than 30% (Wilkins et al., 2012, Medical News Today, 2014).
The causes of cardiovascular disorders are diverse with the most common being atherosclerosis and hypertension. Some risk factors are stress, tobacco smoking, sleep apnea (lack of), obesity (lack of physical activity), air pollution, and various diseases such as diabetes, cancer and any more (Nawrot et al.,2011, Medical News Today, 2014). Examples of cardiovascular diseases are arrhythmia; hear failure, heart attack, congenital heart disease (failure), pulmonary heart and hypertensive heart diseases. Some of these go on to lead or instigate other disorders in the body, such as respiratory disorders.
Respiratory disorders are diseases that affect the gas
Much of the burden caused by cardiovascular is preventable. Major modifiable risk factors include tobacco smoking, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, insufficient physical activity, overweight and obesity, diabetes,
What excatly is suspense? The story “The Most Dangerous Game” by the author Richard Connell uses multiple ways or suspense. Just in case the reader doesn’t know what suspense is, I’ll explain. Suspense can have many definitions. The way I will be using it is by how the author grabs the reader into the book. For example, in “Little Red Riding Hood” the reader would say the suspence is when the wolf starts pretending like the grandmother and there is conflict between himself and Little Red. In this story, Connell uses story elements. For example, I will be explaing how he uses creepy settings, haracters and figurative language. It keeps the reader’s more intrested in the story. If the author uses discriptive workds like tall, dark, and more to describe something, the reader will have a better vision of the story. There are many crazy, physco things in the story that the reader would enjoy. This story “The Most Dangerous Game”
The circulatory system which is present in the chest consists of heart and blood vessels such as arteries, veins and capillaries (Australian Indigenous Healthinfonet, 2016). The heart being the centre controls the blood circulation throughout the body receives deoxygenated blood through veins which is then converted into or replaced by the oxygenated blood from the lungs and then pumped out by the heart to different organs of the body through arteries. (Australian Indigenous Healthinfonet, 2016). The diseases that affects the normal function and structure of the circulatory system are called cardiovascular diseases (Australian Indigenous Healthinfonet, 2016). It commonly includes diseases such as stroke, coronary or ischaemic heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy etc. that may be life-threatening ("Department of Health | Cardiovascular disease", 2016).
Heart disease, also known as cardiovascular disease, is a condition in which the blood vessels can become either narrowed or blocked (BHL Center, 2015). Some examples of cardiovascular diseases are: stroke, heart attack, high blood pressure, and heart failure. Cardiovascular disease is
Anne Hutchinson, a Puritan settler, gets exiled from the Puritan Settlement because of her actions. Similarly, Hester Prynne’s sinful action results in her confinement in prison, away from the town people. In the 1850’s, Nathaniel Hawthorne publishes The Scarlet Letter. Set in a Puritanical Society, The Scarlet Letter tells the story of how one simple act of passion upsets the very basic thread of society. In the novel, Hester Prynne personally transcends the judgments of society through her discoveries in nature, while she lives a simplistic life and becomes more self-reliant.
Possible risk factors of heart failure could be due to advanced age, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, previous episode of HF, and coronary artery disease (CAD). Heart failure may be the result of a single risk factor; however, a combination of factors greatly increases the risk. As we age, the muscles of the heart become weak and the vessels carrying blood to and from the heart lose elasticity and over time become hard. Frequent comorbidities in patients with heart failure include hypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (Paul & Hice, 2014).
There are many risk factors that contribute to CHF. Some of these include diseases such as coronary heart disease (the most common type of heart disease) and heart attacks, high blood pressure, and diabetes (REF). Some of these also includes unhealthy behaviors such as smoking tobacco, eating foods high in fat, cholesterol, and sodium, not getting
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) refers to the dysfunctional conditions of the heart, arteries, and veins that supply oxygen to vital life- sustaining areas of the body like the brain, the heart itself and other vital organs. Since the term cardiovascular disease refers to any dysfunction of the cardiovascular system there are many different diseases in the cardiovascular category, and many of these diseases are strongly intertwined. Ischemic Heart Disease is the medical idiom for the obstruction of blood flow to the heart. It is usually due largely in part to excess fat or plaque deposits that narrow the veins that provide oxygenated blood to
There are many contributing factors for Cardiopulmonary Disease, some being unpreventable health problems and others being unhealthy habits. Health problems can be inherited, and it can also be something that a person is born with. The biggest contributors to this disease are unhealthy habits that people develop from childhood or as a young adult. Smoking causes damage to our lungs and heart, which can cause high blood pressure, and poor eating habits and foods that are high in fat can cause high cholesterol. Physical stress, inherited disorders, and changes in the heart all contribute to Cardiopulmonary Disease.
There are eight major contributors that result in heart disease: heredity, smoking, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol (LDL), physical inactivity, obesity, diabetes, and arterial inflammation. The remaining seven contributors can be controlled, or at least reduced to safer levels that will help prevent or even reverse the disease, prevent a heart attack, and prolong one’s life.
My purpose of this essay is to explain and analyze virtue ethics. According to virtue ethics, in order to live an ethical life, one must possess the right character traits, which are virtues, and as a result, they will have the appropriate moral character. While virtue ethics does have many strengths to it, such as that it places a central role on character, I have to disagree with this theory because it is too difficult to identify which virtues we should acquire. Unlike most ethical theories, virtue ethics understands morality in terms of good and bad character rather than the rightness or wrongness of actions. It tells us not how we should act but how we ought to act.
Some of the conditions are, coronary artery disease which is a disease of the arteries that supply blood and oxygen to the heart, If these arteries get blocked or narrowed, the heart doesn’t get the oxygen it needs or the nutrients. Heart attack this happens when a coronary artery becomes blocked suddenly, stopping the blood flow to the heart muscle, it damages the heart muscle and scars the area which causes it to not function properly. Cardiomyopathy is damage to the heart muscle not caused by artery or blood flow problems, but infections, alcohol and drug abuse. Conditions that overwork the heart and can cause heart failure by occurring when several diseases or conditions are present at once are, high blood pressure, valve disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and heart defects present at
Heart disease is a medical term used to describe many different heart conditions and problems that can affect any age group and gender. Accordingly to the NHS, it is responsible for more than 73,000 deaths in the UK each year. Some conditions that affect the heart include angina, heart attack, heart failure, as well as blood vessel diseases, such as coronary artery disease and cardiovascular disease. Risk factors for heart disease include smoking, high level of cholesterol in our diet, high blood pressure, high alcohol intake and the amount of exercise we do. However heart disease is also an inherited condition which can be passed on through family members of any age and can be life threatening.
The cardiovascular system is a vast network of organs and vessels that permits the flow of blood, nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and hormones to and from the cells in the human body. Not only does the cardiovascular system provide nourishment, but it also helps to fight against diseases, and maintains homeostasis throughout the body. The cardiovascular system consists of the heart and a closed system of blood vessels called arteries, veins, and capillaries. The heart is a vital organ that is essential for survival, therefore it is important to keep it in good condition.
Cardiovascular is a class of disease that involve the heart or the blood vessels which includes veins, arteries, and capillaries, or both can affect the cardio system (Nordqvist, 2014).The CVD system convey oxygenated blood through the arteries for the entire body. Cardiovascular can cause other illness associated with the disease like coronary artery and heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and strokes. How do these diseases affect the body? Coronary artery and heart disease happens when plaque builds up where damage occurs in the arteries due to smoking, high levels of fats and cholesterol in the blood, and inflammation in the blood vessels (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, 2012). High blood pressure (Hypertension) is cause when the heart has to work harder to execute blood for the body and it also hardens the arteries which later develops heart failure. Several conditions will cause HBP or hypertension like smoking, overweight, lack of physical activity, high sodium diet or alcohol consumption, stress and family history. Diabetes occurs when the body does not have adequacy to produce any or enough insulin (triglyceride) causes elevated levels of glucose in the blood ("what is diabetes - Google Search"). Stroke develops when blood clots block an artery or a blood vessel breaks that interfere with the blood flow to a region of the brain (National Stroke Association, 2014).
