My favorite flavor of a tootsie pop is caramel. Unlike the other tootsie pop flavors (which are mostly fruity) caramel tootsie pops have a unique taste. Another reason why this flavor is my favorite is because how good the candy tastes. Caramel is a sweet, sugary, syrupy flavor that leaves my sweet tooth satisfied. As well as great taste, a caramel tootsie pop also has outstanding texture. A hard coating on the outside with a soft, chewy, stretchy, caramel middle. Once you taste a caramel tootsie pop, no other flavor will compare to its tastiness! Because of the taste, uniqueness, and texture of a caramel tootsie pop, there is no doubt that caramel is my favorite flavor of a tootsie pop.
Tootsie Roll Industries is an American manufacturer of confectionery products. The company's history date back to 1896 when Leo Hirschfield began making and selling individually wrapped, chocolate flavored candy named after his daughter "Tootsie". The product became an instant success and demand quickly exceeded supply. To increase output, Hirschfield merged operations with local candy manufacturer Stern & Staalberg (1). In 1917, the company changed its name to The Sweets Company of America and began advertising nationally. In 1966, the company’s name changed again to what it is known by today, Tootsie Roll Industries. (2)
This weekend as I was thinking about what I would do for this project I was sitting on the couch eating double stuffed Oreos. I looked down and it clicked, is there really double the filling inside a double stuffed Oreo? I am doing this concept as my AP stat project because my favorite part of an Oreo is the Crème. I usually never buy the regular Oreos, I always buy the double stuff because of the extra crème. Hopefully I can find out by doing this project if my money is being well spent on double stuffed Oreos instead of being ripped off.

Although all of Tootsie Roll’s profitability ratios decreased slightly between 2002 and 2004, the results appear fairly consistent. This Company appears to provide a steady profit and rate of return to its investors. Its profit margins and return on equity are slightly higher than that of Hershey, although both companies appear solid in their ability to generate profits. The stock price has also fluctuated less, providing a steady price/earnings ratio. This is another indicator of a strong, steady performance by Tootsie Roll Company, and stable profitability results.
TRI uses a top-down method, which in some cases can alienate lower leveled employees. TRI has implemented a few different programs to encourage accessibility, teamwork, and open communication. The company’s “open door policy,” allows for employees to observe and participate in the decision-making process throughout all departments. The company also established cross-functional teams, which increases creativity and increases the employees’ sensitivity on issues that will affect the organization. Cross functional groups provide cross training to the company’s employees. These types of programs display the company’s
Step into a time machine and go back approximately 77 years ago, where the authentic Cheesecake recipe for the Cheesecake Factory was brought to light. Evelyn Overton was reading a Detroitian newspaper when she first found the recipe for success. The family's matriarch cooked the decadent cake for everyone, and "As the cakes became more popular through word of mouth, David Overton developed a small delivery route. Everyone loved her Cheesecake recipe so much that she chose to establish a little cake shop. After a while, Evelyn gave up her dream of owning her own business in order to raise her two young kids, David and Renee.
Tootsie Roll’s highest selling period was Halloween (which is common for most candy manufacturers) and focused on promotional programs to target consumers. Also, they changed up their packaging to adapt to the trends of the consumers and catch their eyes.
An item specific to my family would be the Buckeye candy. Our family has been making these at Christmas for at least 3 generations. It is special to our family because it has become a tradition among the women who cook them each year.
Skittles are a hard shelled, fruit flavored candy loved by many today. Skittles first came into existence in Britain in 1974. They were introduced to the United States in 1979 but weren’t actually produced until 1982 where they are now a product of Wrigley. The Skittles catchphrase, “Taste the Rainbow” was came about in 1994. The Skittles Company has a variety of flavors from Sour Skittles, released in 2000; Bubble Gum Skittles, released in 2004; and Smoothie Fruit Mix, released in 2005. The Original Skittles consist of a strawberry flavor, an orange flavor, a lemon flavor, a green apple flavor, and a grape flavor. According to Wrigley, Skittles colors/flavors are all evenly distributed in each of their packs. So our question in hand was, is this claim actually true and if so, is the ratio of flavors in the regular sized (2.17 oz.) Skittles packs the same as the Fun Sized packs of Skittles? We chose do experiment with this because collectively as a group, we all love Skittles and from our understanding we initially assumed prior to conducting the experiment that Skittles had an equal number of flavors in each pack. There are five flavors in a pack, so that means that each pack should have 20% of each flavor. We decided that our null hypothesis would be H0:
I chose See's Candies as my mystery shop at because it was affordable and I was able to give what I bought as a gift. Another reason I chose See's Candies was I could make up a situation to shop with. I was a little surprised by the set-up of the shop, as I had never been in one before, but I liked the grayscale colorscheme of its interior. Most See's Candies have monochrome interiors, excluding the candy, of course. This is becuase the kitchen where Mary See, the mother of founder Charles See, made candy was black-and-white
The right way to take your coffee is with a few Beyers Chocolate nibbles. Just like @buttjackie did.
When workers spray apples, a lot of pesticides are released and are toxic to the human body. Apples are the most contaminated out of all fruits and vegetables, according to the FDA (Food And Drug Administration).
As I enter Rocket Fizz candy shop to select a tootsie roll pop, I see row after row and bin after bin of colorful, delicious and scrumptious sweetness. I find the selection of tootsie roll pops and see I can choose from purple, red, orange, green, pink or blue. I cannot decide which flavor so I purchase one of each. Once I get home, I lay the flavors out in front of
I am sure we have all seen or heard about taffy. What I would think would come to mind to most people when I would say something regarding taffy might be something concerning saltwater taffy. I love saltwater taffy. It seems that it is not in great supply around here. The only place I know of is somewhere like the cracker barrel. Needless to say I never go to cracker barrel, and it is a little more than I feel comfortable spending on candy. So I find myself resorting to a childhood favorite, laffy taffy. It is sold everywhere, and it is very inexpensive. I really started to like it when I played baseball as a kid. After the game I would always try to pump mom or dad for a few cents to stock up. It never made it home. I would somehow eat my entire entire stockpile. Whoever came up with the idea of putting jokes inside the wrapper is a very rich man. I could not help but to try to unwrap one more. The way the jokes where printed on the wrapper was very smart too. They would put one joke half way on the wrapper so it made me want to know the end of the joke, genius really.
I would never have thought it was possible to be so terrified of a tray of rainbow cupcakes. It literally took years to gather the courage necessary to bake that batch. Not since I had a secret fear of artificial colors, but because these desserts would signal a turning point in my life, hopefully for the better. To clarify, every cupcake stood marked with a character which spelled out two miniature but empowering words that read, "I'm gay". Among my list of personal achievements, the one I remain entirely gratified by is coming out. Finally, a fresh page outside of the dark chapter known as middle school. Filled with endless disheartening stories of denial, concealment, isolation, and the phrase "Fake it until you make it!" on replay.
