Briefing Reflection

To make the presentation look professional and attractive, I would be using as many different types of information as possible, such as pictures, charts, sound, videos, tables and of course text and numbers.

In my Powerpoint display I am creating an easy to follow guide for the CNWL and BCS App-a-thon. This display consists of ten slides. CM travel to Cooperative Counseling Services in Union this afternoon. Ms. Lisette informs CM as I walked up to her that Beyonce was meeting with the therapist right now and once she finish with Beyonce she will meet with us. Ms. Lisette reports that she attended Beyoncé’s IEP meeting at Green Brook Academy in Bound Brook. Ms. Lisette states that there was no changes to Beyonce IEP. CM expresses to Ms. Lisette that is good news to hear. Ms. Lisette also mention to CM that Beyonce meets with her mentor Pamela Jones on Tuesday after she comes from meeting with her probation officer Mr. Sosa. Mentor services is a probation referral services for youth. Ms. Lisette also informs CM that Beyonce attends anger management at family and children services

This past year taught me about the ups and downs of how to integrate myself into a new staff. As the year began I set up meetings to have with staff members to see what my involvement would be within ministries. I had a mix result with the meetings. I had a great meeting with the pastor, as well as, other administrative staff members. When it came to the co-workers in charge of ministries, the results of the meetings were not as reassuring and I left with confusion, after going in with much excitement. These meetings, in a way, foreshadowed what was to come, in regards to communication and collaboration with the ministry leads at Holy Family.

I reflected back over the last eight weeks of this course. The nursing outcomes in course NR 511 has prepared me to meet the MSN program outcome #7, MSN Essential III and Nurse Practitioner Core Competencies # 4 Practice Inquiry Competencies.

I went to the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board meeting that took place on October 3, 2017. In this board meeting, there were a lot of interesting topics that that were discussed. The board members voted on various topics throughout the board meeting, the community could see the members’ votes. This board meeting focused more on High School students rather than on Elementary students.

After watching such a presentation writing notes and revisiting the key points of the presentation are study tools used to help this author acquire new information. Furthermore, participating in group discussions which provided question and answer times provided this other with another learning style that facilitated successful retention of information.

Teamwork is the joint action by a group to complete a given task. This was displayed by group 20 as each member contributed their individual knowledge and skills towards the team as well as the course objective.

The best way to prepare for a presentation, one must consider the best method, the type of presentation and the audience for a given topic. There are four different types of presentation methods they are; Impromptu, Extemporaneous Speaking, Using a Manuscript, and Memorization. Each of the four methods is appropriate in certain situations. Impromptu is a speech that frequently involves no preparation time and forces you to think on your feet. With no opportunity to prepare, you must rely on what you know. Extemporaneous is a speech that involves preparation and practice. This form of delivery has many advantages.
