MARKETING PRESENTATION PROJECT Mercedes Canada Smart Car Building on its success in the European market over the past few years, Mercedes-Benz Canada has launched the Smart Car in Canada! Following a few modifications to meet Canadian safety and emission standards, Mercedes-Benz is currently selling the Smart in Ontario as a trial before a full North American launch the following year. The Smart is unique - almost revolutionary in the auto market. The people at Mercedes believe that the market for the Smart is untapped with virtually no direct competition in North America. A variety of communication media can be considered when planning to produce a presentation, for example verbal communication and written communication, each type of communication media has its advantages and limitations. When developing my presentation I decided to use both verbal and written communication, although both communication methods were used I had to ensure that they were used in the correct quantities. To keep my presentation engaging I tried to use as much visual representation as possible limiting the amount of text per slide. I chose to use PowerPoint because of its combination of written and verbal communication (not to mention the cost effectiveness of choosing PowerPoint and simplistic interface); the written aspects included the text on the slides, screenshots and images. The screenshots proved particularly useful as they was of the actual database used in the daily running of the Apprenticeships Store, once paired with the demonstration of inputting data into the database it ensured greater understanding due to more practical learning as opposed to theoretical learning. More detail was provided in my handouts ensuring I didn’t give too much information at once and this allowed the audience to document any supplementary information I said during the presentation, by speaking and interpreting what was on the slides ensured the presentation remained fluid and
* Format the PowerPoint presentation with headings on each slide and three to four (3-4) relevant graphics (photographs, graphs, clip art, etc.), ensuring that the presentation is visually appealing and readable from 18 feet away. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Provide students with information on different presentation skills needed for their final presentation. How to conduct a Power Point presentation and a poster, including visuals and different sounds, the importance of speaking clearly and loudly, the importance of correct spelling and grammar and use of appropriate language relating to the topic is discussed.
The situational analysis is done to analyze the different environmental forces that can affect the sales and acceptability of the new product. In the later sections, the marketing objectives, the target segment for the new car, action programs, and marketing mix (product, price, promotion, and place) have been discussed in a view to set a roadmap for the company on how it can better market and sell its product to the most potential segment of the consumers. The marketing budget has been presented to give an estimate of the expenditures and expected revenues for the year. Finally, the ethical considerations for the marketing plan have been discussed which are also
In relation to my Ivan the Terrible essay, this PowerPoint was used as a visual aid while I presented on Ivan IV. We were given many requirements for both the visual aid and the presentation. The presentation was to be 3 to 7 minutes long and representative of all the information we included in our essay. We were graded on how well we knew the information and our performance during the presentation. The visual aid was not allowed to have more than seven words per slide not including the title and no grammar mistakes. We were also supposed to show some form of advanced media within our PowerPoint such as a video or music. The main purpose of this project was to examine our presentation skills,
Question 4: What changes would you recommend in the way BMW develops new models? What attributes of newly launched products would you expect to improve as a result of these recommendations? Which attributes might deteriorate?
The promotional strategies that I chose included sponsoring events such as Daytona, offer free test rides, hire celebrity’s for endorsements, and publicize through Hollywood films. Sponsoring events would show a dedication by the company to support related sports that consumers can relate to. Celebrity endorsements offer the company a graphic image by having a relatable name fastened to the product. Offering free test rides provides a connection between the consumer and the product. It bonds the two together and allows the consumer to “feel the thunder”. The places that the business will market the Cruiser Thorr are on Manufacturer's Web Site via the Internet and various sellers. The World Wide Web will allow for a better chance for the product to be noticed on a broader level versus only having showroom viewings. Service promotions that will be added to the advertising chart are customization alternatives and financial services. Adhering to a financial plan with a limit of $13,000, the options that I chose kept the expenditures to $12,612. The final simulation included interpreting the market research findings. This would allow me to plot Cruiser Thorr's brand attributes on a perceptual map. I gave Lifestyle Image a rating of ten because it is what the customers appreciate most about the product. I gave Quality Engineering an eight because a large majority of the surveyed consumers indicated that Cruiser Thorr's engine build was stronger than the
“It’s a visual world and people respond to visuals”, Joe Sacco. Visuals add power, interest and weight to a presentation. Visuals when added to a presentation not only help present the information you are communicating, but also add color and emotion (Locker & Kienzler, 2009). With the recent changes in technology, and how easy it is to create visuals now has resulted presenters using visuals without thought about the purpose the visual is fulfilling. Visuals should only be utilized when they meet a need or want of the audience (Locker & Kienzler, 2009). Visuals in a document or presentation should be utilized for three purposes: “to make points vivid, to emphasize material, and to present material more compactly and
In my IT 142 Presentation Technology & Techniques class, I learned various functions for the PowerPoint program. The skills that I learned were how to insert an audio, create custom backgrounds, and how to add/edit animations. These functions helped me accomplish my project since I had to add a custom background and add multiple animations.
Visual aids are good however you need to be caucuses. The visuals you use during your speech need to support what you’re saying. The titles on the slide should reflect what the speech is about, avoid showing a slide that has too much information on one slide, it makes it hard to read and too much information to process. Do not read the slides use them to as a reference for you to talk about them, ensure you have a good contrast between your font and the slide background and remember when showing slides remember that color show feelings and use can use this to help persuade or motivate for example green is good and red is bad.
Mercedes-Benz operates on the differentiation strategy. Luxury, prestige and technological innovations drive the company 's production from the high quality small cars and e-bikes of the smart brand, to the premium automobiles of the global corporation.

Multimedia first began with games but Web pages, interactive courses, and catalogs with sound and video have now dominated the stage. Not long ago, the term “multimedia” referred to a room full of slide projectors, tape decks, and movie projectors. Multimedia presentations were hard to put together and even harder to run. Many of them took weeks of preparation and they were then shown only once (Curtin 217). The computer has changed all of
Our presentation slides focuses more on pictures, charts and key-points for visual aid. By keeping the slides simple, audiences can focus more on the speaker. The videos uploaded by the Centre for English Language Communication department tell us our weaknesses which we do not realize by ourselves. Reflecting on my first and second presentation through videos and feedbacks from Ms. Christine has helped me
