Brandi, I find often that people in society do not value their possessions as much as they value their inner self. Meaning that they are contempt with what they have with their family or themselves and what they have internally in the sense that they have peace of mind. They don’t need what they own in order to make them happy, they are happy with what they have. However, in the story Paul did believe the only way for him to be happy was to get away. This makes him easy to identify with as many people feel the same way about their own life and want to go to college far away in order to escape everyone. On question 2 I think Paul could have maybe learned in the split second before his decision to kill himself. He realized all that he was giving
Once downstairs they all got settled in and Aries started up again, “Okay back to the whole Saturn thing, I think that its very important for us to discuss-” She was cut off by Pisces, “ITS SHELBY DAWSON!!” Aries looked over at the TV, “Hey Aries, you might want to check this out” Libra said hiring the TV. “In latest news there was a meteor shower last night, but this was not an ordinary meteor shower because the things falling from the sky were not meteors, but people, we’ll give you more on this when we come back.”. “You don’t think that they’re constellations, do you?” Virgo said worried. “Man I hope not, we already are so busy with Saturn’s attacks and all the other planets, the last thing we need is something else to worry about.” Aquarius
The soldiers were right behind her. Wheezing, she could barely hold the infant who was safely cradled in her arms and scurry at the same time. “This way, the tracks are fresh!!” Nanette had barely enough time to think when a soldier knocked her down right on her face. It took her every effort not to yelp after hearing a crack from her nose. She couldn’t move, her legs had snapped. A faint cry could be heard from a distance. The child had fallen. Suddenly Nanette found herself un-able to move at all, too much blood was oozing onto the dry ground. This was all happening so fast. She closed her eyes tightly fully aware of what was next. A skinny soldier slid off his horse with ease, showing no sign of emotion and was followed by what looked to
1. I would put myself in the place of the man on the horse he looks like he could be the leader, so the leader.
A teenage, fair-skinned boy with long red hair awakens but is blindfolded. He is in a silver-colored coffin. He is wearing nothing but a red cloth around his lower body and his limbs are chained together.
4. She went into the store and she didn’t find anything she wanted to buy.
On page 51 the the second paragraph says "But he had to admit that on the days when Attean did not come the hours went by slowly." Attean didn't even like the lessons that Matt gave him. Although, Attean hated them he still went to Matts house. Therefore I believe that Attean only goes for company. Matt may feel the same way, maybe he feels lonely too. This is why I think that Matt feels like the hours go by slowly.
hris felt despair about his life and recognizing the reality of him not being able to accomplish his goal, yet he still attempted to escape from reality. Therefore, he joins the army. However, Chris was a passive and static character, thus the violence and brutality of the war didn’t suit him. As a consequence, his passive nature turned aggressive. The second some portion of this book is more centered around how Augusts cherished one feel about him and with him. I welcome the writer for taking from August family and companions point of view since it will help perusers comprehend the story better with more noteworthy profundity and feeling. For example, just August's family can catch superior to anything anybody what he needs to experience. A decent illustration of would be that they generally guard August against open and never dither. To me, creator's message was excessively mindful individuals of how little acknowledgment we have, and how little we bargain? I trust that on the off chance that it was my kin in August spot I would act likewise to August's kin and folks. It is just characteristic that we think more about our blood relations than whatever other relationship.
1. I do believe Jones is being truthful about Ebert, for the most part. I could see how it could be possible that Jones may have “sweetened” it up because he saw Ebert as a real good person. Ebert comes of as an honest and innocent person so I do believe he is being truthful about himself. I’m more likely to believe what someone says about their self because no one knows you better than you.
December 14, 1924 was a bright, beautiful winter morning, the sky a vibrant blue without a cloud roaming around. The previous night, a heavy snowfall had powdered and blanketed the ground. Children all around town were enjoying playing, skipping, and laughing in the city of Paris, France.
As Logan and I sat at the intersection between Arrowhead Road and Midway, we waited for a text as the cars flashed past us. That was where we sat in the heated truck, waiting for a girl to give us the go ahead to come pick her up. We were jamming out to “Just What I Needed” by the Cars.
Paragraph 1 tone : He seems nervous about this trip He says ,“We’ve all been up since midnight, starting our predive checks after a couple of restless hours of sleep, and the whole team is running on adrenaline. These are the roughest conditions I’ve dived in so far on the expedition” The way he says that they’ve been up the whole night doing checks without sleep and how this is one of the roughest conditions he has dived in so far just gives the sense of nervousness if he will make the challenge.
enters peoples houses and surrounds himself with what they have and for a moment he is able to pretend that what they have belongs to him. Paul creates a new identity for himself as
In our opinion, Paul’s desire also leads to greed even though he does not want the money for himself but for his mother. The young boy becomes obsessed with luck and everything that involves around it. In many instances, Paul’s greed is selfish less than that of his
Paul's father had abused him emotionally, and probably physically, throughout Paul's life. He did so much to Paul's flagging self-image that he had to boast to others to make himself feel big, when he felt tiny inside. When he finally achieved that "bigness" that he always wanted, the glamour of "the good life," his father found him out and took that away from him, or rather, made Paul give it up. This made Paul feel even smaller and made him feel that he would be better off dead. So Paul decided to make his life "better off" and
