A person is considered brain dead when she or he no longer has any neurological activity in the brain - meaning that no electrical impulse are being sent between the brain cell. When declared “brain dead” the body is being helped by a ventilator that helps the body keep blood and oxygen moving. With the help of technology doctors can make the body do some of the things it used to when the person was alive. But even though the body is being kept “alive” the patient has a very low chance of recovery. In my opinion those patients that are declared “brain dead” by the doctors should be put down and allowing them to rest in peace. I know this might sound a little harsh especially when we're talking about a close friend or loved one. Since the
One day there was an open field, but not just any open field. This field was guarded by a goddess, Nixious (Nix-e-ous) goddess of disease. In this field laid her treasure, a young rancher and her cottage with sheep. This rancher impressed the goddess, and earned the name Simkaxzi (Sim-kah-z). One day, a mischievous young thief came to the ranch to take the sheep flock. As soon as he started to put a lead on one of the sheep’s neck, the goddess awakened. Nixious as furious as ever, and picked up the thief with her mighty grasp. She called Simkaxzi down from her small cottage. Nixious announced “Here is thy thief. Simkaxzi should you be thy one to decide punishment, what would it be.” Simkaxzi replied “Let his family be cursed with a disease
We all need food and water to live, don’t we? There are so many options: from a hamburger and soda, to pasta and a glass of water. The choices we make in our diet can boost your metabolism. People make poor choices for their diet every day. Continuing this lifestyle may cause them to become obese. The Fed Up documentary concludes many valid facts on how the rate of obesity is increasing, especially in terms of adolescents. Food industries are giving inadequate suggestions to assist in solving this problem.
People who have FOP have flare-ups that occur randomly and without a warning. Also, there is a very unlikely chance to have FOP, 1 in 2 million people have this disorder. A person who has this disorder will be noticeable in the person’s early childhood.
Chances are you will be either working or sleeping. Screwed. That is the one word he would use, screwed. Sure things could be worse. He could be lying in a ditch dead or maybe in a shipping crate bound for Africa. Even still this was not much better. He loathed his job and everything to do with it. So a required work “party” was not how he wanted to spend his night. He considered “getting sick” but decided against it. Besides how bad it could be? He wouldn’t have to stay long and there would be free food. He decided he could bare it. Little did he know that his decision had just won him a sentence of twenty-five to life.
“Jumpy and I are easily bored and always out for adventures. How about you? Do you like to sit and hope something happens; or would you rather go find an adventure yourself?’
“More people will die from obesity than starvation.” Many people are gaining excess weight that ultimately results into Obesity. This is a big controversy because obesity has become one of the most known reasons for cancer and many other illnesses. It’s even affecting children. According to the American Heart Association, the percentage for child obesity raised to about 18.4% ranging from children as young as 2 and older. After watching the documentary, Fed Up, by Katie Couric, it is revealed that the reason percentages for Obesity is rising is due to the fact that many become addicted to sugar, the amount of calorie intake, and etc. Sugar addiction sources from industries that finds interest in high profit and less interest on the health of
School is boring because the teachers are boring, and the food is disgusting; sleep is lost, for homework has too many questions; however, spaghetti tastes amazing although it is messy; Mr. Frasure amuses the class, but it is long since we are writing this never ending sentence; despite the fact that we are sleepy, we are
“However, all our attempts failed. They have suffered irreversible loss of brain function and there are no more electrical impulses being sent between brain cells. I am sorry, but we’ve exhausted all our resources, they are brain dead.” These are more or less the first words a family or person in relation would hear from the physician that was last taking care of their loved one. The concept of brain-death is difficult for some to comprehend when dealing with a tragic loss, not hearing that a person is completely and utterly dead can blind a relative to what is really happening. The proper definition of “brain-dead” is an irreversible form of unconsciousness characterized by a complete loss of brain function while the heart continues to beat.

“Which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.” 2 Timothy 2:12 (ESV). The one thing about Paul never did was to flounder about, he knew God would guard the soul. Floundering means; to struggle or stagger helplessly or clumsily in water or mud. So when one flounders it takes a lot of work and it can deplete your energy as you are surrounded by the unknown. Ever been there? In times of uncertainty, one must precisely keep their eyes on Christ no matter what happens. It’s here that taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ moves our “religious studies” into our reality. Like Paul, we
When you first realize things we never thought to be possible actually happens, you begin to question certain things about the life you lead. They may be good, or they truly suck its some thing we must find out on our own. You can just not care thinking you are amazingly dextrous in everything you do, or grow up and identify all the Detriments in your life so you cant get rid of them to live the life you truly want. In retrospect you may recall embarrassing moments where you where completely stupid. remember that stupid and dumb are different. Dumb means you did t know better while stupid is you knew exactly what would not be the smartest idea ever made. And guess what! You did it anyway. Do you ever look back at the moment were if you just
Empty. That's how I feel. Empty. People think I'm happy but underneath the mask is a crying 15 year old girl. Feeling empty is the worst feeling in the world. You don't cry, you don't feel and you don't think you just sit there with a painted smile on your face and sometimes you sit there with no expression on your face at all. I'm tired. I'm tired of ungrateful people that take you for granted. I'm tired of the feelings of not being good enough. I'm tired of feeling lonely and depressed. Am I depressed? Sometimes I will just sit there and never want to get up. I'll cry out of no where, but I keep it in because I feel weak when I cry. I don't cry a lot. Crying is showing that you're weak and I'm not weak. I'm a broken toy that nobody wants.
