Karley Beth G. Basak BC 12-LL February 25, 2016 From the past to the present day of my life, I have made a lot of great decisions. I have forgiven my best friend for what she has done before. I have joined the spelling bee contest way back in grade 3 holding the trophy of a champion after. I have given my mother a present during her birthday when she buys me a new smartphone in return. However, none of these decisions became the best that I have ever decided. Skipping Kinder 2 during my early childhood was the best decision I have ever made because it gave me happiness, opportunity and satisfaction. The first matter that I felt after I skipped Kinder 2 was happiness. First, I was happy because the number of my school years now is smaller.
The classroom should provide special areas of space for each child. Circle time is also a good time to incorporate in the classroom. Circle time allows children to socialize together in different group sizes.
Based on her reaction it appears she has developed deferred imitation. According to Piaget, deferred imitation is defined as ¨a sequence in which and infant first perceives something that someone else does and then performs the same action a few hours or even days later¨ (Piaget 166). According to table 6.1, stage six intellectual accomplishment, involving both thinking and memory appears at around 18-24 months. Based on this information, Isabella, at 20 months of age, would be within the age range for development and therefore within the norm for her age (Piaget 162).
Kickstart Kids is an amazing program that has impacted my life and others around me in many different ways. Kickstart has helped me become the leader I am today, it has helped my shyness and make new friends, build my confidence and finding a passion that I love to do. I can start by saying how this program has impacted my life. Kickstart has helped me become a better leader because I can help out in classes and teach students everyday. I can also help out at my school and get involved to be the difference in the school. I can make new friends by going out and getting involved in things and meeting new people. I can meet people in this program that share the same love for the sport as I do. The Kickstart Kids program has helped me build my
To help children advance physical and intellectual competence as a childcare provider you should always find ways to incorporate fun aspects into learning. This can be established through the use of technology. Technology as we all may know is something that we use daily. It makes finding out information simple, easy and accessible for little kids with the help of a parent. Websites such as Star fall and ABCYA are two sites that offer children a fun and easy to access source of learning that they can do at home or on the go. Through the use of technology we can help our children excel and develop cognitively as well as use computers and other gadgets in an engaging way.
The Child Study data I have gathered comes from the observation I have completed at Mission Bell Elementary School. Mission Bell Elementary School is a local school in Riverside. In the P.M preschool class there are 24 students, one teacher, and one assistant. The child I decided to observe is names Zoe. Zoe is 4 years and 10 months old. I immediately was drawn to Zoe because she had such a big personality, was very social, and smart. I am glad that I choose to observe Zoe because she was able to make my observation process smooth and easy. While observing her I had to pay close attention to her biosocial development, motor skills, cognitive skills, communication skills,
The date of my observation was April 27th, 2010. It was about 9:30 in the morning when I began my study. I went to Grossmont College’s Child Development Center. The first thing I began looking for was if the child-teacher ratio was correct. The child ratio was 2 teachers to about every 8 children. The ratio was good. As I entered there was one large room that almost looked as if it could be two rooms they way it was set up. One half consisted of a large bookshelf with numerous books on it with a couch in the front of it. The other half of the room was almost like a little kitchen. It had a table with chairs around it with a sink and cabinets behind it. There were “age appropriate” toys as well as books all over the
There were plenty of memories in high school. Just making it to high school was a good memory. Most of them were during my freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
“You’ve got the best of both worlds, mix it all together and you know that it’s the best of both, you know the best of both worlds.” (Nevil et.al, 2006). According to Hannah Montana you can have the best of both worlds. Kinderculture affects children from the very beginning of their lives, but how deeply do the messages from the Disneyfication of Kinderculture impact children’s lives? In the Kinderculture article by Henry A. Giroux and Grace Pollock they ask the question, “Is Disney good for your kids? How corporate media shape youth identity in the Digital Age.”

The first time you laid eyes on your precious little one, you most likely were mesmerized feelings of love and awe. Fast forward a few years and you might be wondering what demon has possessed your once angelic being. Perhaps now your baby seems to have more in common with a moody, hormonal teenager than the picture sweet, loving baby they once were. If this is true for your toddler, you aren’t alone. In fact, toddlers in general favor teenagers in many ways, some of which are listed below:
Many children attend both three and four year old preschool. If you plan on switching to a new preschool for next school year, make sure you spend some time preparing for the transition. If you allow your child to saw goodbye to their old school friends, and allow them time to adjust to their new preschool, this transition will be a lot easier.
The North Eugene preschool allows students to be involved in a series of classes that teach child development theory and guidance skills. Students reflect on the issues for families, communities, and professionals who work with children. The overall goal for the preschool child is that of a positive social situation in which the child can grow and learn. The center also provides an environment that challenges the child to expand his/her horizons.
During my observation at the preschool here at Harper, I looked around and realized a lot of similarities and differences it has; compared to other daycare and preschool centers. The age of children in the room I observed was ages 3-5 with one lead teacher, and depending on the ratio of how many kids showed up on that day, about three or four helping teachers. The program was set up to a very open, happy and overwhelming setting. Every furniture and object in the room had a sign saying what it was, and then underneath the typed out word was the children’s way of writing what the object was. For example, a book shelf was in the corner of the room; on the book shelf was the word printed out “Book

Just ending first grade I was as happy as June bug. Grade school was not at all what I had pictured in my head. I would have much rather prefered arts and crafts which I had perfected during my kindergarten and preschool years. Unfortunately for me that was not so. No more show and tell or any of the things I used to enjoy such as ‘Fun Friday’ where all we did was play games. I was introduced to homework,
