Arnold participated in numerous battles and was one of the greatest American generals to fight in the American Revolution. All the work he put in this country was disrespected by the American government and generals who fought in the wars. Congress refused to give him credit for his heroism and rejected him resources when he needed it most for him and his family, as well as promotions he do rightfully deserved. His contributions to the cause for independence should allow him to be admired by Americans today rather than seen as one who betrayed his country.
