Barcelona and Real Madrid have been rivals since the beginning of soccer itself. They have always clashed and they both have some of the biggest fan bases throughout the world. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have had the best goalkeepers around, Real Madrid having Iker Casillas, a goalkeeper respected as the best in the world, and Barcelona carrying Victor Valdes, a true hero on the field, but there is one problem they have stuck with the team for a long time. They have renewed their defenses with young World Cup superstars. Real Madrid landed the Costa Rican Keylor Navas who shined throughout the World Cup and captured the hearts of everyone with his incredible saves, meanwhile Barcelona did not just stand by they also recruited a World Cup star, Claudio Bravo, whom also demonstrated that you truly needed to be cunning and skilled to put the ball in the net behind him. Besides the goalkeepers the on field defenders are similar as well, while Barcelona has Pique and Dani Alves, Real Madrid has Marcelo and Sergio Ramos on the field. Each one of them skilled and respected players in the soccer world, yet they have one small problem they all need to be updated soon. They have stuck with the teams for a long time, but sadly it all must come to an end and both team need young players to learn their spots and take over once they leave the

Before World War I, Portugal and Spain status as global powers diminished while the Netherlands, France, and Great Britain won. The power of both Portugal and Spain significantly reduced after the two countries lost some of their colonies and other territories in the Americas. Notably, the two nations' economic and political interests suffered because they depended on commodities and taxes from their foreign colonies. For instance, Brazil's declaration of independence in 1822 and the subsequent war that followed heavily affected the global fortunes of Portugal. On the other hand, Spain lost some of its territorial possessions to the U.S. in 1820 after Florida became part of the USA. Moreover, it was involved in a war of independence a year later with Mexico, in which the country suffered defeat. Other Spanish colonies in South and Central America also managed to unite and gained independence from Spain by 1825.

Even though there are many differences between the people and families, we can see how similar they are, mainly because both of the movies are based on the original play by William Shakespeare'. They both try to show how love can affect our lives, and that it does not always have to end in a sad and tragic way. Also that feuds and problems with other can be solved if the chance is given or if one offers to talk and settle it. Two countries, located side by side in the Mediterranean sea. They share a similar climate, the Mediterranean sun, and many of the same landscapes. With overlapping histories, they both have a shared but unique heritage, which is reflected in their cuisine.
In the 17th century England and Spain were both in a race to settle the New World. After Christopher Columbus had reached this New World Spain almost immediately sent people over to explore and colonize. After the Treaty of Tordesillas secured their land, Spain’s empire quickly expanded across The Americas. England had a bit of a late start when it came to colonization. Even though their first few attempts such as Jamestown, and Roanoke were not very successful England kept at it. Eventually, England and Spain became the two most powerful nations in the Americas. Even though both nations had the same goal, their political, religious, and economic development were very different.
I experienced very many examples of injustice every day at school such as being made fun of for my height, weight, and the way I dress. At the time I felt as if the whole world was against me and didn't really know what to do. I find it interesting that a few simple things define how someone is seen by many others. My definition of justice would be everyone being treated equally regardless of race, gender, religion, mental ability, or physical ability.
Both sides come from Spain, a place where football is highly competitive. This local rivalry is important because there is a ton of psychology that effects players on the pitch. Every player WANTS to win, there is nothing being held back when the players go onto the field. Historically, both teams are extremely successful. Real Madrid and Barcelona have over 20 league titles each, 32 and 22 respectively. As for the Spanish Cup, Copa del Rey, they are also very triumphant, Real Madrid’s 19 wins to Barcelona’s 26. This massive success in these local competitions cemented both teams as the most victorious teams in all of Spain. Europe’s biggest competition, UEFA Champions League, where all the fantastic teams all across Europe compete with one another, is another area
Never before has there been such dissent in the soccer world. Ask any fan, any expert, anyone who their favorite is, who they believe is better or simply who they prefer, and you will never, ever reach consensus. It is the never ending argument that speaks volumes and goes beyond the sport. When the best Spanish teams, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, meet, the biggest subplot of the match is Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo. But the question remains, who is better? You can reach the answer to this question by comparing the two players – Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – based on shooting and goal-scoring capabilities, and mentality.
Game results: to achieve Real Madrid’s vision to be the best in the world, the club hired the best football players, e.g. by bringing the “Galacticos” which also enabled the team to borrow the player’s image and gave endorsement to the brand.
Although, the case study of Manchester United gives us a good example of a brand’s ability to globalize, it does not give us a clear picture into how a league as a whole accomplishes these same goals. To get this clear picture of a successful global soccer league we can review a case study by Matthew Holt that examines the UEFA Champions League and its ability to succeed. The UEFA Champions League(UCL) was established after the UEFA European cup started to see more revenue increases based on the increase in television and digital technologies. (Holt, 2007) The goal of the UCL was to increase revenue through a newly structured European club soccer league. The first way that UCL accomplished this was through centralized marketing. This was accomplished through selling the television rights as the UCL brand rather than allowing the clubs to individually sell the rights to the games. This increased the value of the television rights and in turn increased the profitability of the clubs. (Holt, 2007) UEFA sold this UCL brand
