Automotive Service Technician
Cars are everywhere these days and most people wouldn’t be able to live their daily lives without one. Well, unfortunately nothing lasts forever, so these cars must be worked on and repaired. Do you ever wonder why it takes so long to get your car fixed at a dealership? It takes a lot of skill to properly diagnose and perform repairs on a vehicle, so it can take some time to get it back into your driveway. Therefore, automotive technicians need to be extensively trained to make these kinds of diagnostics and repairs quickly.

“Mechanics need to be able to inspect vehicles to determine overall condition, repair engine and non-engine automotive or vehicle components, replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts, and adjust vehicle components according to specifications (Career Opportunities for Auto Mechanics).” Automotive technicians are basically big problem solvers. “They use diagnostics and run tests to find the location of the problem. Experience is key in this industry and is necessary to provide substantial wages. This industry is appealing to many people because of the prolific activities it contains and the challenging competition against time. I know this is the right choice for me because I see my neighbors have not one but two or three vehicles in their driveway and they're all in decent condition. In this career your job is to keep things clean and in working condition. You also do general maintence like changing oils, checking for leaks etc. I also like how there are jobs that are like very basic such as changing oils, but at the same there are also some very complex jobs, like rebuilding a motor would be one of the more complex jobs.

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Dallas is the college of my choice because of their reputation and their teaching techniques. I want to eventually become a master mechanic, but that takes time. Mechanics are people who knows what is wrong with an automobile and how to fix one, There are a lot of people in this career field, about 701,000 people are employed in this career in the United States. Mechanics have quite a bit of duties to pursue, some of these duties are to identify mechanical problem, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment. They also have to test parts to make sure they all work properly. If they do not work properly they then explain to their clients what automotive problems they are having, and inform them of the repairs they will make and what the cost will be.

According to studies, most employers would rather take in employees who have educational background or training on their specific field. The career I chose to undertake as my profession is that of a mechanical engineer. Why do I want to become a mechanical engineer? In Canada, there has been a shortage of manpower in the skilled trades for many years. This shortage, has created a substantial increase in wages for those in the skilled trades, and thus a viable career path for those who wish to work primarily with their hands. Although many do not think of automotive mechanics when they think of skilled trades, they are included in the grouping. Automotive mechanics are an essential part of our functioning society, as there are over a billion cars driving on the earth at any given time. The goal of this paper, is to understand the thought processes, and issues facing people in the skilled trades, which university students and professors may not be aware of.
Most if not all mechanics/technicians do is perform standard check. Example tires, brakes, and wheels. Technicians also must be capable of explain the problem to the client. How to become one: To become an automotive technician you need an education many employers will require that you go to an institute even if you go to a vocational school. Even if you do go to a school you’ll still get onsite training.
Being a truck driver for the minimum position you just need to go to a good trade school. That teaches you the most important basics of driving a tractor trailer or dump truck like driving one and fixing one those are the most important things. It really dosent take to long to complete the process some trade schools get you done and provide with a job with in 5 months and other trade schools might keep you for up to a year depending on what school you go to. The truck driving industry is all about delivery and transporting there are plenty of things that you could do from delivering dirt or rocks in a dump truck, driving a tractor trailer with 8 cars connected or transporting a high valued crate from the docks. You must know how to drive a truck safely because these trucks are heavy duty vehicles that could literally kill someone if you make one wrong move. With this job you must be good with your hands because you have to drive, you have to be able to work on your own truck if it's a small problem.
Automotive Technicians are the people that repair your cars and keep them running properly for you with no problem. When working in this job you need proper schooling as well you cannot just jump in and work on a car you need proper training. Mechanics have lots of duties on the job in which involves a lot with computers and repairing parts for the client’s car. Mechanics earn a very good salary that continues to grow with the more experience you get in the job. Automotive Technicians is a great career to have because you work with many tools to figure out the problem, you get a good paying job, and you will never have to worry about getting a job because mechanics are needed everywhere.
Firstly, the customer support is highly related to different elements such as fuel cost, steel cost, wage of human resources, and current economy situation. Automakers are competing with each other in order to minimize the cost od production, and maximize their customer satisfaction and their market share ( Statista Portal, 2016).
Most automotive technicians work in good environments. Automotive technicians work in a well ventilated and lit repair shops or some will work in the pits at a racetrack but, these locations can be very Tumultuous. I hope to be working in the pits. Technicians work full time hours and overtime is common. Technicians can work in many urban areas, including dealerships, and independent shops.
