Geomorphic assessment is an important part of stream monitoring, restoration, and development. This summary will analyze stream data collected at the Auburn University Golf Club, located in Auburn, Alabama. Figure one displays the longitudinal slope profile of this particular stream. As displayed in the figure, the red line represents streambed; the light blue line represents water surface; and the blue dots represent bankfull level. Relative to this figure, streamflow is left to right. It is worth noting that two cross sections are also identified in this figure (noted as x-section) and figures three and four in this summary visually display cross section data. The first cross section (24.0 in figure one) was executed in a stream riffle, and
We also compare the River Leith to the Bradshaw model and see if the River Leith does follow the model of a typical river. This is done by measuring 20 sites in 3 river courses, the upper course, the middle course, and the lower course, we then compare these results to the Bradshaw Model and see if the River Leith has the typical properties of a river.
Relationships of rocks and their qualities are apparent ubiquitously and are comparable between Clear Creek a nearby Valley Wall. Comparability between Clear Creek and a nearby Illinois River location also display an ever-present relationship of their discharge. Through USGS, the discharge of streams and springs correlate two water types; karst development.
Jonathan Edwards, author of “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”, and Anne Bradstreet, author of both “Upon the Burning House” and “To My Dear and Loving Husband” were two very different writers from the late 1600’s to the early 1700’s. Through figurative language and clear expression of religious views, you will see just how much their Puritan beliefs vary.

This project proposes that the stream banks be corrected from their current state of severe soil erosion. Some of the walls of soil surrounding the stream can reach approximately 1.8 meters in depth. Where the runoff drain meets the stream can even reach up to approximately 2.6 meters. The walls of the stream bank are a vault of in situ soils slowly restoring themselves to low sloping conditions through more erosion. This is an indicator that there has been extreme down cutting as result of stream channelization.
It has been almost a month since I have last documented. After we left Independence Rock we were off to the South Pass. It was the harshest part of the trip so far, and we all learned how important water is and how we should not take it for granted. All the way to South Pass it was all sand and no shade. It was scorching hot and, on some days, got to or went over 100 degrees. After about a week and a half we got to South Pass, and then started our journey up the Rocky Mountains.
The purpose of this report is to geologically evaluate the potential hazards for flooding in Hazard City. This report will include a detailed historic and extrapolated Stream Gauge Data Worksheet, as well as a graph of the Discharge Frequency Curve expected on Clearwater River. The report will provide Hazard city with my scientific analysis, conclusions, and provide recommendations concerning potential flood damages.
To develop a pre-fire plan for the Duffer’s Wood Golf Clubhouse, one way to implement a plan would be to adopt a spreadsheet with different sections. Being one of the initial officers to arrive at the Clubhouse, first thing I would like to see on the plan would be a contact person and phone number, especially if the emergency occurs after hours. Secondly, the plan should include building information such as the location of the lock box, fire panel, total square feet measurement, number of floors, basement, construction type, roof type and number of exits available. Does the facility provide the accessibility to an elevator? If so, the plan should illustrate the area of the main elevator control panel. We would need to include the
In order to get a full understanding of stream health, all indicators should be individually weighted, as different indicators hold greater magnitude than others. Out of the seven indicators stated above the first three represent the predictor or x variables, while the later four represent the response or y variables. The x variables are indicators that directly affects the streams overall health, while falling outside the influence of the stream. The y variables are indicators of stream health that can are interconnected and ever-changing; these variables are influenced by the x variables. The x variables act as the independent, while the y variables act as the dependant because they are independent variables in themselves, but are guided and shaped by the results of the x variables.
According to Sowmya, all staff should be rewarded equally without any discrimination. The writer argues that rewarding one staff and leaving the others unrewarded may demotivate the others. I do not agree with him. If all staff is rewarded equally, then it would lead to demotivation of the hardworking staff. A high reward for the hard working staff, then each would always go the extra mile to get the reward DeVries & Kets, 2004).
