In The Matrix the general population of people in reality live inside the matrix, a complicated program to enable people to live on the outside of the world. AI, artificial intelligence, commands the real world. The Matrix itself was developed by Artificially Intelligent programs, especially The Architect and The Oracle. Within it, all features of the world are simulated by different programs, and the humans within it watched and controlled by the Agent programs. The AI was created for the good of the people, though it became too advanced for humans to control. The AI now is in world domination, using humans as the source of energy. So, humans are stuck as slaves inside the matrix living about their lives. In spite of the fact that in reality they are being dominated by the AI. The AI needs to be destroyed in order for …show more content…
Later on in the movie, Neo makes the acquaintance of Morpheus, and informs him none of what's going on around him is real. The Matrix, an artificial intelligence system that has power over people's minds unwillingly, creates the illusion of a real world, uses energy from humans, and throws them away like a piece of garbage. Morpheus has his mind set on Neo being "The One" who can open The Matrix and bring his people to freedom. In my opinion, all of the tapes of soteriology are present. Though, the cosmic-historical soteriology is the predominant category expressed in the film, The Matrix. This category can be applied throughout the whole movie. The plot of the movie revolves around the idea that humans are imprisoned in this cover up world which is the Matrix. The way life should be is real and not by the creation of artificial intelligence. Humans no longer had a genuine understanding of how life should be. This category is the first one that I thought of while watching the movie, and was also the one I talked about the most throughout my
Some are in fear of finding the truth, due to the fact it could have substantial affects on the entire human race. The world as we know it could prosper or fail with any new attempts in high-risk technology. Science and new advancements in artificial intelligence have made it accessible to finding out more than humans have every imagined possible. The development of the computer was a

Artificial Intelligence is the use of Computer System(s) to imitate tasks which human beings undertake. "The Matrix" (1999) depicts Artificial Intelligence in a unique sort of way; representing it in a flexible manner, showing what it can do to society. Generally speaking; this
in the movie, The Matrix. Within this movie, power is maintained by artificial intelligence and agents controlled by artificial intelligence through maintaining the status quo, masking reality with false ideologies, and oppressing humans. In order to prevent all humans from attaining power and freedom by realizing that they are in a simulated reality, the matrix, the status quo must be maintained and in favour for humans. As this is the case, both the artificial intelligence and agents work together

Cure is now drug-addicted and depressed in the futuristic city called Chiba City in Japan. He visit illegal clinics to find a cure but remains unsuccessful
The Matrix The Matrix is a science fiction movie about artificial intelligence computers replacing mankind. I believe that this movie is a common type of display from the media is common paranoia so that they can get a reaction from people and sell their story. In the case of The Matrix, the movie dazzles people with awesome special effects using modern computer technology, which I find ironic. I find it self-conflicting and hypocritical for the media to use modern computer technology for their
The only way out for someone in the Matrix, was to be freed, by someone not directly plugged in. For example when Morpheus offered the red and blue pills, he was essentially giving Neo his first ever taste of ‘free will’ because “Morpheus” was not directly plugged in, making him exempt from the Architects control. The Orwellian society as shown in the Matrix also shows us where we may be heading. Today we are seeing technology advance at a faster

There is No Escaping the Matrix In the video game world anything is possible, and if your player dies you can always play again. The videogame industry is exploding in the market place; it's far from child's play and far from the days of pong. In the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly (December 6, 2002) there is an article, Video Game Nation, discussing a new video game experience being touted as the wave of the future, The Real World meets The Matrix. In this virtual world called The
it was only the beginning of his long journey to becoming ‘The One,’ and freeing humans from the Matrix. Similar to Neo’s story, this is only the beginning, the beginning of a discussion of the sociological concepts within the movie, The Matrix. The Matrix is a movie about machines, with artificial intelligence, who use humans for energy by inserting humans minds into a program called “The Matrix.” The movie follows a character named Neo, who is believed to the “The One,” the person who will save
make sense of the world. The humans of this future world did not conceive that artificial intelligence could exceed their own and take their place in the transforming ladder. The film therefore challenges the audience to consider the consequences of making technology so powerful, self-sustaining and dominant in their lives. The most important settings in The Matrix are the world of the matrix, and the real world. The Matrix is a machine created dream world that humans believe is real. The reality that
see when Agent Smith talks about how much he hates being the matrix and wants to escape. We also see the agents, which are artificial intelligence, harm Neo and other humans many times. This presents an ethical issue; why should we create AI if there is a chance that we may be putting ourselves in danger? I think that it should be allowed, but with the three laws of robotics in place. However, would this truly be artificial intelligence, and therefore would it be classified as a race? Although, if
The Matrix (1999) presents to viewers a computer hacker known as Neo. By day, Neo (his alter-ego is Mr. Anderson) is a computer programmer, and at night he sells hacked software. Morpheus, a character who attempts to awaken humans from a dreamlike trance known as the Matrix, solicits the assistance of Neo. Morpheus offers Neo the chance to see the truth about the world in which he lives. Neo, and other humans as well, are housed as biochemical food for the artificial intelligence that controls the

often fearful lives.” The movies The Matrix, 1999 and Avatar, 2009 overall seem to me as dystopian films. To show how each film portrays the different aspects of perspectives on the future, and a dystopia, I’m going to use the settings, actions, and outcomes of each film. The setting to me feels like the most important aspect of determining if a movie is a dystopia or not. The Matrix takes places in a city called Zion, which is made up of many machines. “The Matrix” is a computer program that humans
