Art Institute Of Hollywood Career Objective

My career goals for after i graduate high school and college would be to pursue a career in Commercial Ad art. If i were to become a Commercial Ad artist i would be able to intergrate my artist taste and my fondness of Architectual composition. I would also favor becoming a Manager in Achitecture and Construction. I would be able to incorporate my own art into either field.

My plan for my future self is to be successful in any type of way possible and just make a good creative career the best way I can. Ever since I was a kid, I was in love with animals and hoped to make the animal environment a positive thing in the world and possibly become a Veterinarian. As I grew older, I started to think about how much time and effort I would have to put into what I wanted to become, but my mind was focusing on mainly helping people as I do today. I’ve never really been a straight “A” student and it is probably time to start focusing on how reality is and get my head in the game we call life!

As I’ve said earlier, my most prolific dream has always been to one day work in the professional field of animation. To create living, breathing worlds with the tip of a pencil and the solid white plane of your average piece of printer paper. For years I’ve been practicing and honing my skills to reach this goal, but I knew that I would first need the proper connections, education, and mentorship of renown industry professionals to help me reach the bountiful zenith of my highest aspirations. And because of my employment, education, and extracurricular experiences, I believe that I’m adequately-equipped to see these dreams of mine become a reality. For instance, my work at the Madison Mallards baseball park during the summer of ‘17 has not only prepared me for the typical aspects of the workforce, but it has also helped me better interact with other people and build lasting connections. Almost everyday, I worked endlessly to garner profit for my employer and satisfy customers of all backgrounds. Almost everyday, I was tasked with working synergistically within a cast of colorful co-workers and managers. Since the age of nine, I 've had a dream of becoming a screenwriter, and a movie producer. Where others only want to see a show or a movie, I have always wanted to be behind the scenes in the creation of the art. Being behind the scene and being involved in the creation of the film has always fascinated me.

The opportunity to attend the Hollywood Semester is a huge stepping stone for me to achieving my dream and reaching my many goals. Academically I believe that this experience will exceedingly further and boost my knowledge and understanding of the industry and will help me assess what knowledge I need to gain before graduation. Professionally, The Hollywood Semester would help me gather more experience to make myself more distinguishable than other applicants after graduation. The internships that I am hoping to obtain will add valuable items to my resume along with allowing me to gain experience in a corporate studio setting. I am excited to participate in the creation of something far bigger than I have created here at Bradley University.

Along with the mission statement of LMU, The School of Film and Television makes LMU highly attractive. It is ranked among the top film schools in the nation every year and classes are taught by award-winning faculty. I am choosing LMU for its Production (Film and Television) major. As long as I can remember, I have been a filmmaker. I was unusually shy as a child and film became my way to communicate. Writing and filming gave me the confidence I needed to break out of my shell and run after life instead of away from it. Because film has been such an integral part of my life and has blessed me greatly, choosing any profession other than filmmaking would be to give up who I am. Out of my shyness and anxiety as a child, I found a way to communicate with the world; I found a new love, I found my passion, I found film. With this, I believe that The School of Film and Television contains all of the resources that I am looking for. My career goals are to start a business and to be able to maintain it through my expertise that I learned at The Art Institute of Indianapolis. Through the Art Institute I will learn the skills to better understand the field of work that I am interested in; Including things such as communication skills, time management, technical competency, and above all else the ability to work with co-workers. The Art Institute is a great place to learn all those skills and many more, giving me everything I need to have a successful business. In order to be successful I must have two things, determination and persistence. Without those things I will fall short of my goals.

Becoming a mostly freelance animator would be the payoff of many years of hard times and hard work, not only just now as I am finishing high school, but also as I continue on to college. I have wanted to be an artist from a very young age. My father was a web designer, my uncle is an animator, and my aunt is a graphic designer. Growing up helping them, especially my father, gave me an understanding of color, design, and structure. They definitely inspired my choice to begin my path to become an animator. My family has always been my support system through everything from health issues, our recent loss, choir or orchestra concerts, and even months of musical. Without them, I’d be lost.

My number one goal right now is to get into American Academy of Dramatic Arts and starting my studies in January. It is Important to me that I get into AADA because I am passionate and determined about acting. I need to get the best education in the field and to establish connections that can quickly get me recognized for the growth of my career, I want to learn from the best. The Entertainment Industry has the most competition and I want to be able to flush out some of it through my skills and education. I want to make my debut in the acting world well equipped. It is also in my best interest to Increase acting awareness In Zimbabwe, where the Industry is still small and acting is still considered somehow nonsense.

In this world there many creation that have changed our lives. From the automobile to the cell phone to the internet and art. None of these creation would be possible without the individuals that created them. These individuals focused on their careers and used knowledge they gain to change the world. I have chosen to apply to this Academy Career Pathway because I want to have an extraordinary life, try my best, and give all my best. I wish to go to Artswork and join the theatre program. Memorizing and acting is my strong side, however it needs much improvement and I’m willing to work. I get to play different character with different emotions.
