I have chosen to apply to this Academy Career Pathway because I want to have an extraordinary life, try my best, and give all my best. I wish to go to Artswork and join the theatre program. Memorizing and acting is my strong side, however it needs much improvement and I’m willing to work. I get to play different character with different emotions. This academy will help me with my communication and I’ll be able to get a good job in the future. I’m not great at building, singing, computers, etc.… but I am good at acting. I had theatre and I enjoyed it. Now I have intermediate theatre and I know this is something I want to become better at. If I get into this academy it will help me in the future and beyond. But in return they will receive my
Mackenzie: Do you have any advice for other students who plan on pursuing a career in the performing arts?
I choose this prompt because it looked as it was the best of the prompts fitting to me. I myself come from several different backgrounds, I also carry a lot of different talents. People like those are very unique and are very productive in diverse community, and they turn to be very productive and effective individuals in their community. The past autumn I applied to the University of Washington, which is one of the high ranking schools in the nation, so I applied to all of their 3 branches, Seattle, Bothell and Tacoma, hoping with my different unique talents and personality I will be accepted and be offered admission to one of the 3 branches. Several months later I am here talking to you, that optimism I had has become a reality, I’ve got accepted into University of Washington Tacoma and I am still hoping I will also get accept into the Bothell branch as well. Being born in Seattle, growing up here and at the same coming from both an African and Arab background is pretty unique, on the other hand being a Muslim and a practicing religious Muslim, was also something fascinating, living in America in this time, where Islamphobia was at its peak. In addition to that, being an individual who is deeply involved in the community, specifically youth affairs at a young age of 17 was very productive I can say. Summing all those qualities and talents, I told myself this will help me achieve a lot of things in the future, being a personally diverse individuals who is both academically and spiritually active and built, and in addition to the a productive young individual for the community was indeed something unique and attractive to schools and jobs in the future.
I believe that Northwest Catholic High School will be beneficial to me. I will develop interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, and have diverse experiences. I feel that these skills will pave the way to my goal of attending UCONN, UCLA, or Walden University in Minnesota. I know that Northwest has teachers and staff who will help me boost my self-esteem and confidence levels. By attending NWC, I will achieve a keen and steadfast mindset, and grow in my future profession as a counselor. I am persuaded that I will reach absolute educational greatness at Northwest Catholic High
I have been cursed with what is commonly known as the midwest work ethic. The thought of humbly putting in the work to get the job done right. That is the reason why I need the academy internship. I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and have had an interest in invention all my life. I had originally wanted to become an aerospace engineer as a kid. It’s hard to find a middle schooler dead set on becoming a rocket scientist. Freshman year of highschool, to my parents surprise, I learned I wanted to become a filmmaker. After few years working on narrative shorts and commercial projects, I learned that my true love was in Cinematography. I am currently a sophomore in the Johnny Carson School of Theater and Film, which only accepts about 10-14 film
Just as you would in joining any other discourse community, I had to establish my credibility, or make ethos appeals. This not only had to be done at the audition/callback for the school itself, but also for every audition after and in everyday class life. In order to establish this credibility, I had to prove my talents, artistry, and potential in the first audition and callback. They required me to sing a song they provided, a monologue, a portfolio, and a scrapbook. I memorized and worked on my monologue, filled my portfolio with all of the art work, costume design, and sewing work I had done in the past, and made my scrapbook about my favorite shows, writing about what they mean to me. This was the
I have enjoyed my time as a middle school student at Natomas Charter School Performing and Fine Arts Academy, and that is why I am thrilled to continue to attend as a high schooler. I believe I have developed and shown many qualities throughout my years as a middle schooler that will make me an asset to the high school community at PFAA. I have gained qualities in multiple areas, including academics, citizenship, and performing arts. Academics have never come easy to me.
I am interested in applying for the acting apprenticeship for the Commonweal Theater Company for the 2017-2018 program. I am a recent graduate of Carleton College, with a degree in Biology, but I have always had a passion for theater and the performing arts. I started dancing when I was 4, was in my first play when I was 8, was a competitive cheerleader and performed in musicals in high school. When I studied at Carleton I danced for student-led ensembles, choreographed for musicals, sang in choir, took voice lessons, and acted in student films and faculty-directed plays. However, like any performer, I faced rejection along the way. I knew that if I wanted to succeed I could never let the dismissals get to me, though sometimes this was harder than others.
I want my time spent in the OTA program at Wright College to be as successful as possible. The program is very important to me especially since it could determine what my future career will be. I plan on taking this program very seriously, more seriously than anything else in my life. I understand that sacrifices will have to be made in order to make my time in the program a success and that some will be easier than others. I plan on making this program my number one priority and I realize this will most likely be the most difficult educational challenge I will experience to this point. I also understand that there will be difficult times that one can’t predict that must be dealt with. I plan to deal with any of these obstacles that may
I would like to get into the AVID program because I want to improve academically and also because i will work hard to do my best. Because my parents are struggling because they didn’t finish school and also working hard because their jobs are low salary jobs, is shaping me to appreciate my education and opportunities. I have accomplished a lot of great academic achievements in all my years in middle school. My goals are that my future is bright due to all my hard work. This is why I believe I’m an excellent candidate for
I am committed to achieving my goals. I will devote myself to my studies allowing me to secure my degree. This also entitling me as a good representative to this program. I hope to be offered the possibility to represent this program. Throughout high school I have worked hard keeping A’s and B’s in all of my classes. As well as taking all of my required courses. I am also participating in a voluntary Pharmacy Technician class my school has just recently offered. By graduation once I have completed the course and passed the required exam I will be a certified Pharmacy Technician. This showing the dedication I am willing to put forth in order to reach my goals. I want to attend college pursuing a nursing degree. I want to provide myself with the beneficial ethics that college will offer. As well as the morals I will recieve being given the opportunity to represent this program. Almost everyone’s goal is to be successful in the journey they choose. Everyone wants to succeed, no one wants to fail. We all want to succeed in life. Whether that success be a high school diploma, college degree, or in an
Milton Academy creates individuals of excellence in the disciplines of academics, athletics, and the arts. I am applying to Milton Academy to receive an exceptional education. Most of my time there would be spent in an academic environment. I would contribute positively to my classrooms by arriving prepared to participate, advance discussions, and exchange ideas. I have done well academically in the past and intend to continue throughout high school. If I do not grasp ideas immediately, I have the humility to ask for help and self-discipline to spend the time necessary to master them. Milton academics will be challenging. I aim to become a role model for persistence, ability and accomplishment.
If I get into this high school, I would like to join the visual arts academy because I have always loved to create works of art. Throughout my middle school experience, I have learned so much about the arts. When I was 9 years old, I was accepted into the Talented Art Program at my elementary school. I belonged to this group all throughout middle school, and I have learned so much about who I am as an artist and as a person.
To get into Ryman Arts, I had to submit several still life drawings and an essay. They accepted me based on my ability early senior year. My acceptance into the program only cemented my career choice in the arts. I did not even hesitate now, this was the path I wanted to follow. Just being accepted into the program validated my efforts so far, that my art work was good enough to be recognized. The classes themselves have helped me improve my artistic ability drastically, as being surrounded by art professors and talented peers have certainly given me a few new views and perspectives towards my art work. My family has been very supportive in my choice of career. It was my aunt that helped me find out about several extra art presentations or events hosted by Ryman Arts, such as the photography session I attended
I feel that I am a great candidate for BSI performing arts because of my skills as an actor, singer, and dancer. In third and fifth grade I was able to show off my acting skills by auditioning for the school play and earning a part. I have shown my singing skills in many ways including earning solos, singing the national anthem at titan games and a church baseball league for neighborhood kids, and also serving as a singer for the worship team at my church. I have demonstrated my dancing skills by both making show choir in seventh and eighth grade. I also as a seventh grader was able to earn one of the select few roles in the play put on by the eighth grade show choir. From these experience I learned many ways in which I can better my performances

I will also include a personal piece about my experience of struggling to find the right career for me through school so far.
