Applying Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to work in assisting youth towards market demand in Timor-Leste
Introduction
Timor-Leste received independence on 30 August 1999 after a majority of the population voted for pulling out of Indonesian occupation of the country. Life was not easy after getting the light of independence as many sectors were destroyed to the ground by the militias. An enormous responsibility rested on people to exert efforts to reorganize everything from the ground up. The education system was highlighted as a core sector to be improved both in quality and service within the country. Education and training are some of the main tools being used to wipe away the tears of victims, who suffered much during the conflict. Technical-vocational education and training (TVET) is believed to be a key area which will assist in restoring many devastated sectors which totally paralyzed the country. In early 2010, the TVET system was formally established in a national strategic plan with a particular function in assuring, formulating and establishing the national qualification framework (NQF) (PATVET, 2011). It has been tremendously effective through its system of competence-based training and competence-based assessment in working towards market needs. This TVET system has evolved smoothly in Timor-Leste as it is culturally appropriate to local beliefs and is flexible in its approach. The role of the TVET System in producing competent and qualified
Title VII of the 1964 civil rights act prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin. Contrary to title VII, gender and religion under the bona fide occupational qualification allows discrimination for certain jobs that calls for a particular group, age limit etc. An example of a company using bona fide occupational qualification in the United States Military. Every day bona fide occupational qualification is used in the United States military to decline thousands of applicants daily because of their age. The age limit for joining the navy is 34 for active duty and 39 for applicants attempting to join the reserves. Because of the physical demand of basic training and the life of military personnel, the navy set 34 as their minimum age where they
In 1889 Jane Adams along with Ellen Gates Starr, as the pioneer or "Mother" of social work opened the doors to Chicago's Hull House, which provided social services that included: child care; education in history, music, and mathematics; a library, employment assistance; as well as many others to immigrant communities in the city (NASW 60th Anniversary Interactive Timeline, 2016). Today, the philanthropic work of two women has become the field of social work, with thousands of professional social workers continuing the work they started. Like everything else, the field of social work has evolved over the years to to become a diverse and expanding field. According to the text “Social Work Values and Ethics” by Fredrick G. Reamer (2013), “at its infancy in the late
This question is taken from Narrative Exam Code 2NEC-C7: “4. Package design projects usually start with a “Package Design Brief” document which will describe in some detail what the package is suppose to achieve, with what product, targeted at what group, in what marketplace, against what competition, by what means, and in conjunction with what other activities. Draw up a design brief for a product of your choice. Include a sketch of the likely packaging system, and some general assumptions regarding material performance requirements.”
Nom-Greens anticipates the need for such training in the near future since its intend is to have a competent workforce, and therefore intend to offer short seminars for groups in the area such as school teachers, parents and business people to be vested
Title VII states that an employee cannot be treated differently because of sex unless sex is a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ). When used as a defense, bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) allows an organization to hire and employ individuals on the basis of the qualifications reasonably necessary to the normal operation of that particular business or enterprise. This paper will discuss the necessary steps employers must take in order to justify using sex as a discriminator when hiring employees and review some known cases where BFOQ was used as a defense.
I will begin my course evaluation by stating that I am only anticipating on obtaining an A or high-B in this class due to the fact that I only learned the course material through self-teaching. I did not obtain any knowledge of the course material from Dr. Alvarez’s lectures. This is largely due to the fact of her grotesque teaching style. In order to further explain how her teaching style impeded on my, and several others’, education of the course material, I have provided several examples of what Dr. Alvarez has done during class. These examples below are in no particular order:
The Rorschach test, used first in 1918, has been the center of much controversy in the field of psychology. This particular test uses print inkblots in order to test many factors within clients based on how they answer when asked about the pictures. Although Hermann Rorschach never made it known where he got the idea for the Rorschach test, it is believed it was inspired by the game Blotto, which was a game which used inkblots. The Rorschach test was originally used to test patients with schizophrenia during which Rorschach discovered that these patients responded significantly in a different way from others without schizophrenia. Later, Rorschach began working more with the test using forty inkblots in his original studies but only using fifteen of them commonly with his clients. Today, this test is used by highly trained professionals who are studying personality based on scoring clients’ answers to questions about the inkblots. (Framingham, 2016)
According to the AARP (the American Association of Retired Persons), there are many different ways to screen a job applicant for a company. These include background checks, criminal background checks, credit reports, standard screening tests, and drug testing. Background checks include finding information to determine if the applicant is qualified for the job. This could include "education verification, review of work history, verification of Social Security number, and several other pieces of information" (AARP, 2012). Educational verification requires a signature by the applicant to allow potential employers to contact their past schools to verify that the information provided is true.
In reviewing the information that was given while trying to determine whether or not AB is competent to stand trial the best option at this point is to conduct a competency test, being in Virginia the test that would be administered as per the Dusky v. United States (1960) ruling that established the basic test to see whether a person is sufficiently able to consult with his lawyer and have a rational degree of understanding to comprehend the charges that are being brought against him. AB has seemed rather compliant while he has been in jail, the correctional officers seem to not have many problems with him though they do seem to be concerned with the fact that he has been talking to himself late at night. This combined with his rather lengthy
These are the skills and competencies I have learned through my studies at Walden University. Kaslow, Grus, Campbell, & Fouad, et al. (2009) stated professionalism comes from my respect for those who need help. Integrity can be built with confidence in the therapist. Attitudes are charitable, polite, caring emotions toward others that fuel my motivation toward helping. This concern welfare of others comes from my religious and personal experiences as a child and young adult.
I passed the pre-licensing course exam within the acceptable margin which means I answered at least 80% of the questions correctly. Now, on to the state exam. It is a 115 question-multiple choice test with a four hour time frame. 5 of the questions are "dummies" and will not be scored. You must answer correctly 82 of the 110 questions or score at least 75%. The instructor stressed to all of us in the class to apply immediately to The North Carolina Real Estate Commission to take the state real estate exam after we finished the pre-licensing course. I forgot the exact statistics. But, I recall that you stand an excellent chance of passing the exam on the first try within 2 weeks after taking the pre-licensing exam because the material you learned and was tested on is fresh in your mind. For each day that passes after the two week period, your chances of passing goes down considerably. You are allowed to take the exam a second time if you fail on the first attempt. If you fail on the second try, you have to start from square one with the pre-licensing course. I had filled out The North Carolina Real Estate Commission exam application weeks before the end of the pre-licensing course ended which our instructor encouraged us to do. It is extremely important to fill out the application entirely, accurately and to furnish all the identification documents requested by the Commission. Most important is to assure that your legal name on the application matches exactly, letter by
Hacking is the process of gaining unauthorized access to information through various means like systems or computers. In the context of computer security, a hacker is that person who looks for weakness in a system so that they can gain access to unauthorized information. They are motivated by various reasons like protest, profits or evaluating the entire system weaknesses.
From reasons which are mentioned above, as a result, the quality of current workforce has been affected. According to the General Statistics Office GSO, in 2009, the number of trained laborers just amounted to less than 1/5 of the total labor force, and only 17.6 percent of laborers aged 15 and higher went through technical training courses. Or the US Ambassador to Vietnam - Michael Michalak commented on an article in 2008: Universities were not able to produce the number of educated managers and skilled workers needed by Vietnam's modernizing economy, which is a failure in Vietnam's educational system. Lack of qualified human resources is the single biggest factor limiting Vietnam's future development and economic growth. In short, the derogation of quality in education and training is big issue which needs to care and solve now.

In 2013 Netflix progressed exceptionally well under the leadership of CEO Reed Hastings, who co-founded the company as a mail order movie rental business in 1998. Over the years, Netflix has, of course, evolved into an on-demand internet streaming company. In 2013 the firm saw its stock triple, and in September the same year it counted a whopping 40.4 million subscribers. This ascent may well be due, at least in part, to one of Hastings’ most successful innovations: in 2013 he launched original TV shows Orange is the New Black and House of Cards on Netflix, to much acclaim. Some industry experts have noted that people are turning their backs on cable since they can get their favorite shows on Netflix and elsewhere on the web. So this shows
