Use of a Balanced Scorecards has been touted to assist in improving the customer-company relationship with consistency thus, playing an important role in marketing strategy. This is reflected at Hyde Park Electronics Manufacturer. Upon implementation of a balanced scorecard, the company did manage to raise highest profit in less than 3 years. The customer perspective observed targeted customer satisfaction to allow repeat customer. Convenience offered to customer allowed the company to do their marketing and advertising with lots of ease.
The authors are as followed: Gene E. Hall, Linda F. Quinn, and Donna M. Gollnick. Hall is a Professor of Urban Leadership at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Quinn is a full professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, and Gollnick is the Chief Academic Officer of TEACH-NOW, an online education program in Washinton, DC. This all points to experience and credibility. All authors are collegiate professors, as well as Quinn and Gollnick are specialized in education. This gives the article credibility, strength, and is not bias.
DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) has had an increase of 11.5% in sales during the 2012 fiscal year. This is due to an increase in customer sales, “conversion and average unit retail.” (www.dsw.com, 2013) However, in 2012 there was a decrease in the company’s merchandise margin rate due to poor sales.

Achieving a school district’s mission and vision requires the commitment of its stakeholders. In order to involve them in the process, it is necessary for educational leaders to “motivate staff, parents, students, board and community members” (Educational Leadership Constituencies Council, 2002, p. 4). The transformational leadership theory emphasizes the importance of educational leaders acting as role-models in order to motivate and inspire the school community. This approach has the potential to involve all stakeholders, leading to increased student success (Bush, 2007). The Assistant Director of Special Education in Northwest ISD directly supervised the school district’s assessment staff. Her education, experience, and passion set an example for her subordinates, stimulating them to achieve more, leading to her promotion to Executive Director of Student Services.

The greater the competitive intensity of a given industry the more essential the four foundational elements of balanced scorecards become in translating expertise and knowledge into profitable performance. The BSC framework unifies and galvanizes the vision, mission and values of an enterprise into a framework that encompasses learning and growth, internal business processes, customer-driven innovation and financial factors of the business (Kaplan, Norton, 2001). Case analyses of the Tri-Cities Community Bank: A Balanced Scorecard Case (Albright, Davis, Hibbets, 2001) and Walmart Corporation illustrate how causal chain analysis is an essential component of a complete BSC strategy. The value of causal chain analysis is particularly valid for Walmart Corporation, whose business model is predicated on the continual operation of a smoothly-functioning supply chain that needs to continually translate learning into process improvement for improving the customer experience and profits (Park, Min, Park, 2011). Walmart illustrates how difficult it is to simultaneously balance the four perspectives in the balanced scorecard.
