There are major events that mark the beginning and end of this period. The period began at around 9000 B.C.E. when the popularity of agriculture grew. The domestication of animals like sheep, cattle, goats, and pigs began to appear within civilizations. The end of this period came at around 1000 B.C.E. when civilizations began focusing on strengthening their culture and politics. This took place once the civilizations did not have to devote all of their focus to staying alive. The Neolithic Revolution was critical for the rise of civilization. For example, the development of agriculture during the Neolithic Revolution, led to a surplus of food. A common challenge was how a civilization was going to organize and run a state. Every early civilization had to come up with a form of organization so that they could thrive. Another challenge was how a civilization chose to view technology and its advances. Civilizations had to figure out how much effort and time they wanted to focus on their technological advances or if they wanted to encourage it at all. Some other challenges are how to define what a family is, how to define social equality, and how to reveal the natural universe. In conclusion, there was common challenges all of the first civilizations faced. The world is linked into a global civilization in many ways. First of all, everyone in the world needs food, water, and shelter to survive healthily. Therefore, since everyone needs those things, everyone is linked into a worldwide civilization that strives to have food, water, and shelter. The environment and its natural resources and climate problems affect the whole world also link us all together. All of the factors that are common to everyone around the world like food and climate change, link us into a global
