Can being optimistic improve someone’s health? Yes, that’s why the best way people can respond to conflict is by having a positive attitude. Having a bright outlook can not only improve a person’s health but it can save their life and possibly others, just like in Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl and Miss. Breed because these people inspired others and stayed optimistic.
Anne Frank, a name? A book? A girl? A prisoner? Anne was all these things. She lived in a world ruled by the Germans. Adolf Hitler, the ruler of the Nazi Germans ordered for the whole Jew population to be destroyed. He ordered all Jews to be taken from their homes and to be sent to labor or death camps, also known as concentration camps. Once Anne’s family heard of this they went into hiding with four other Jews. After two years of hiding, not being able to go outside, talk or move a lot, or being able to use the W.C. at certain times of the day, the Franks, Vaan Dans, and Mr. Dussel were turned in by a random citizen and were arrested. Before that time Anne had a diary where she wrote her deepest most inner thoughts. She once said, “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” I disagree with Anne’s statement, “Despite everything, I believe people are really good at heart.”
Anne Frank was a jewish girl in the 1930’s and 1940’s. She had a sister, mother and father ,and in 1942 they went into hiding. They went into hiding because the nazis invaded Holland and the nazis were sending jews to concentration and work camps. The Frank family hid in a place they called the Secret Annex. They lived there with another family, this family was the Van Daan family. The Van Daan family was a boy named Peter along with his mother and father. Later they received another person who needed a place to hide, this man was a dentist whose name was Mr. Dussel.
Anne Frank was a German Jew. She was born in Germany. At the age of two or three the family moved to Holland. In Holland as hitler was gaining power laws were made. Those laws took away rights of Jewish and other people on the "undesirables" list. Those people were not seen as people anymore. When people were being called upon. The Frank's went into hiding earlier then planned. The people that worked with Otto Frank helped the two familties go into hiding. At first there was just seven people in hiding. Then another man came to hide with them the families were in hiding for almost three years. Otto Frank thought of everything and what would happen in other situaltions. From how they got food anf the way the company was run. Otto was in World War I and a very good soldier at that.
In literature, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character —usually the protagonist— to highlight particular qualities of the other character. In Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, Peter Van Pels serves as a character foil to Anne’s spoken mind. The characteristics of a tragic hero like being doomed from the start, having a fate greater than deserved, and attracting empathy illuminates the fact that loneliness can create strong bonds.
Anne Frank was a young girl that was Jewish. She was normal and had an entertaining life. When Hitler came into power the Frank family was in Amsterdam. Anne's sister, Margot, got a call-up notice. That meant Margot had to register with the goverment where she lived. Otto Frank, their father, then took the family into hiding. They lived in a spot Anne called the secret annexe. Also there was another family that eventually lived with them, and an elderly man eventually came
Anne was a young girl with big dreams. She had so many hopes and things she thought would happen through out her life. The Nazis were on the move to make sure all Jews throughout Germany, Poland, Copenhagen, ect. we're gone. Anne was born June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. When the Nazis invaded Germany, her family automatically moved to Amsterdam and brought only so little with them. As soon as she arrived Anne began her sixth Montessori school but, as soon as the Nazis invaded Amsterdam they had to transfer to a strictly only Jewish school and had to wear a yellow star on their chest at all times. Anne also had a good, loving family. They always had nice parties that Anne invited her friends to. Her father Otto Frank actually survived
The Holocaust began in 1933 and ended 1945, was the reason three teenagers and five adults had to begin hiding in an Annex. While in hiding the relationships between the children and their parents weakened. Anne Frank’s relationship with her parents had some differences and similarities. Anne’s relationship with her mother and father were different. Anne’s relationship with her mother was difficult, while Anne’s relationship with her father was very close. They are both similar because they love Anne very much.
During the Holocaust, six million Jews were persecuted, and even more were oppressed by the Nazis. Throughout all of this suffering, Anne Frank still stood by her ideals she talked about and saw, such as hope, selflessness, and family. Anne had hope that she would soon return to a classroom someday, after the war is over. She also talked about selflessness, because of the people who risked their lives to keep her safe. Family also affected her because she had many people around her who acted like family, even if they were not consanguine. Throughout all these years, Anne still believed in these standards, even the toughest of times.
There were many Jews to suffer and die during World War II, under the rule of Adolf Hitler. Although all the victims of the Holocaust matter, there was one in particular that many people still read and learn about everyday. This “one” was a young girl named Anne Frank. She and her family suffered along with many others. Some even lived to tell about it. Although she did not live, she still lives on through her diary.
“More than 70 years after the Holocaust, the horrors of Rwanda, Srebrenica, and Darfur are sobering reminders that preventing future genocides and mass atrocities remains an enormous challenge”(Obama P 3). In the novel Forgotten Fire, Vahan Kenderian shares his experiences through the Armenian War and Genocide, where his family and most of his people were killed. In the book, The Diary of Anne Frank, Anne explains her thoughts and feelings, during some of her teen years, and her experiences through World War Two and the Holocaust. Through the experiences of Anne Frank and Vahan Kenderian, they experience many things that are alike yet different from each other. In 1915, the Ottoman Government decided on
More than 1,000,000 children died in the Holocaust. But a well known Jewish child and diarist from this dreadful era was a young girl named Anne Frank. Born June 12, 1929, Anne Frank was living with her mother, father, and older sister Margot. When the day of July 5th, 1942 came, she and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam with four other Jews, after the Nazi’s seized power. Anne was one of the last of her family to arrive in Amsterdam after living with her grandparents in Aachen, Germany. They hid in a secret attic apartment, referred to as the Secret Annex in the diary written by Anne. For two years they lived in the Secret Annex until August 4th, 1944, when the Gestapo, or German police, discovered the hiding place. Anne and her sister Margot
There were heroes in the Holocaust and then there were bystanders. It’s super easy to be a bystander however it’s super hard to be a hero. The people that were heroes were the people that stand up for what they believe in. Also, people who save others lives are heroes. Great Examples of Heroes are Anne Frank and Irena Sendler.
The Author came out with a strong out look on the situation of Anne Franks Development. Anne Frank was a little girl who lived in Amsterdam with her Father, they lived a normal life until the Holocaust took place and for forced Anne into hiding. Sadly the Nazis found out about the Franks hiding and who they were staying with, Otto Frank was they only one who survived. Anne Frank knew that she would even be living a sad and scary life. "Anne’s Voice. I expect I should be describing what it feels like to go into hiding. But I really don’t know yet myself. I only know it’s funny never to be able to go outdoors . .
Anne Frank was a remarkable young women she was only 13 years old the time she went into hiding. She needed to disappear into hiding because she was jew in the time of the holocaust. Her family went into hiding the day her sister Margot received a letter in the mail wanting her to report to a concentration camp. When you arrive at one of those camps there are two lines. One is if you are sick or elderly you were to be killed and the other line is they will force you to work and if you do not there can be harsh consequences. Anne family was not going to let their child be forced to work. As Hitler began to prosper, the worse these treatments were pushed. So Anne’s father, Mr. Frank, had connections in Amsterdam so he and his family moved there and they hid in the attic otherwise known as the Secret Annex. You could say, why would she need to advance into hiding when she could tell people she wasn’t a Jew? The biggest reason is if you were in public and you were a jew you needed to have the Star of David sewn somewhere visible on your garments so that everyone would know you are a Jew. In her diary, Anne wrote "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart”. I believe Anne was optimistic when writing this. She also was probably thinking about the people
