1. The antagonist of the story is Dax. He is Foster’s mother’s boyfriend and he also is my least favorite character in the story. He’s a mean guy and he bullies Foster. He threatens to hurt Foster’s dog to hurt to hurt Foster’s feelings.
2. The conflict in the story is that Foster doesn’t get along with Dax, but Foster is not alone. One day, a former soldier in Iraq named Gary was hiking his way to Texas and arrived at Foster’s farm in Fourmile, Alabama. Gary stayed and helped fix up the farm they were getting ready to sell. Foster and Gary became friends.
3. The theme in the story, in my opinion, is to choose wisely who you want to be with. It could change your whole life. After Foster’s dad died, his mother chose to be with Dax. This really
