Introduction
Outline where you carried out your internship and the type of work you did/completed.
I am still in the middle completing my internship with Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service which is a branch of the Queensland health system. The main focus of my internship was on a festival that Metro South was running called Positive mindset Creative Arts Festival,
The process of finding an internship was very stressful for me. I honestly had no idea where to start or even what I was interested in. It took me many weeks to do research into different facilities that had internships available. After calling tons of organizations I finally interviewed at one that felt right for me. The interview took place with Laura Crain, who I also interviewed for this essay. The internship is at the McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition.
My motivation is to be part of moving the U.S. government into the 21st century. The 115th Congress will face many challenges shaping U.S. technology policies and regulations. As a Congressional Innovation Intern, I will improve my capacity to effect change by applying my technology and policy skills to assisting with this effort. The internship will provide invaluable experience in learning how legislative change happens in Congress. Taken together, these will enhance my ability to effect the change I anticipate in my future career.
For my internship, I served under the Allegheny County Health Department in Pittsburgh, PA. I served as the National Health Corps Member for the Women, Infants, and Children Program as their Care Coordinator for all nine offices. Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a supplemental nutrition agency that targets pregnant and postpartum women and young children ages 5 and under who are at risk of malnutrition. My supervisor Annie Nagy along with my mentors in the office made sure I was able to receive all of the materials and resources I would need to have a complete and successful internship.
My work experience includes internships at a substance abuse clinic and psychoeducational treatment program where I worked directly with populations ranging from children with
The customer analysis segment of the marketing plan provides for a description of the consumer base. This entails a detailed analysis of the customers who are most likely to buy your product. Typically, this analysis consists of information related to the purchasing habits of the customers as well as data on the characteristics of consumers such as age, gender, lifestyle, and income. These consumer characteristics will be used to divide, or ”segment” the market, allowing for more direct access and further analysis.
My internship term at EPRA has gone by with minimal issues. I have genuinely enjoyed working with all of my colleagues and the position itself has been interesting. I would say that the largest issue facing EPRA as a whole would be the distrust on environmental initiatives that was previously discussed. There has, however, been a prevailing issue with my job specifically. As mentioned, the auditing department at EPRA is relatively new. Due to this, very few employees have had to be trained as a compliance analyst in the past. To be specific, only six people (including the four that are currently on the team) have had to learn the position. Included in the six are two employees who were hired to help start the auditing department
The agency where I am completing my internship is called Center for Family Services. This organization provides a wide range of services. I am working in their Family First program. This program is a substance abuse program just for mothers who must attend drug court or have an open case with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency. These women are ordered to complete a substance abuse program. This program serves a diverse cultural and ethnic population who may have experienced trauma in their life. Many times, trauma and post traumatic stress can lead to substance abuse.
The purpose of the proposed study is to explore how interns are influenced by the internship in regards to their career choice. The data will be collected from the three different field sites; Higbee and Associates, Legal Aid Society of Orange County and Public Defenders Office of Santa Ana with assessing total of 50-60 interns who will be participating in these three different field sites. Using the previous studies as a guideline I will use the combination of interviews and questionnaires to assess the attitudes of the interns regarding the before and after the internship. After assessing the interns the proposed study will conduct a follow-up study with the interns after six years to see the impact of the internship on the career
Binge Drinking is a problem for college students who are expose to an unlimited access of alcohol for the first time ever. Studies have found that an individual’s critical thinking ability is impaired because of alcohol consumption.
Research has determined that depression is identified by an individual's failure to concentrate, biases seem to be implying that this comes from a negative set of memories and experiences that make up a persons’ beliefs. This mind set results in a deeply thoughtful style described by a lack of logical thinking which leads to depressed emotions and behaviours. The neurobiology behind depression shows that changes in the brain system are commonly linked to this theoretical way of thinking. This similarity proves the cognitive process behind the theory of depression and it also shows the noticeable features of a depressed brain described by neurobiologists

Internships are extraordinary opportunities to learn and grow. Internships are mostly designed to expand the depth and the breadth of the academic learning in the particular areas of the study. Internship is an opportunity to receive experience in applying all formulas, methods, theories in the classroom to specific experiences in the real world and to see how it actually works.
My goals for the start for my internship were simple, but quickly evolved. My goals were to gain experience and build my resume, while bringing the lessons I have learnt in college, and using my skills as an engineer to help the department of public works. Now my goals have become more specific; I would like to learn more about sewer operations, I would like to develop my computing and design skills using the tools available to the Hydraulic section and I would like to mature as an engineering professional. While at the hydraulics section, I have access to programs like MUNSYS, as well as ArcGIS. As an intern, I update and maintain sewer related features on these programs. I would like to learn everything I can to develop my skills as a designer to help me become a better engineer.
The marketing internship I was lucky enough to participate in at the University Center has been a very educational and valuable life experience. This internship has taught me many lessons that I can apply to my future career. For clarity purposes of this paper, I have listed my original education objective first and it will be followed by details about the progress of achieving that outcome over the course of the internship.
After this internship made me realised how diverse engineering fields and there is so much new knowledge to learn, considering myself with electrical power engineering background working in construction site which may related on civil engineering field. When I studied the project plan documentations, there is some new term and I need to find extra information on the Internet myself to understand more about the ongoing project. Having said that, knowledge that I have obtained throughout my study in ECU proved to be useful such as basic CAD, mechanic and material courses during my first and second year which make me easier to understand the structure drafting of the floor plans.
