I think people should date and then adventure out to other things if they both agree to. Having a “one-night stand” isn’t always a great thing. People should also have a solution if they decide to drink and go out to parties. I think people should realize what hooking up for just one night, could do. There are different ways for people to prevent hook ups. They can rethink their decision and think about what could happen if they hook up, or question themselves. Even if they decide to have sex, at least be smart about it and have
Everyone liked her, she seemed to just brighten people’s day. She was someone who would call her friends when she got home, letting them know she got home safe. She bought her childhood home from her mom, months earlier, off of Highway 37. (Cobb, C) The night of her disappearance, she was out with her friends. When Jessica got home, she called her friends to let them know she made it home safe. No one realized it would be the last time they saw or even heard from her. Russell Williams videotaped what he did to her. She was blindfolded, and then he photographed her trying on her lingerie. He drove her to his house in Tweed, ON, and tortured her there. He ended her life with several blows to the head with the flash light and then he suffocated her. (Cobb,
Gloria Patch was Anthony Patch 's wife. She the sophisticated city girl who had it all. They meet through Anthony 's friend Dick Caramel, who is also Gloria 's cousin in the city plaza. She is a fabulous dancer, but always wanted to be an actress. Zelda Fitzgerald yearned to be a ballerina, while Gloria Patch wanted to be an actress, both at the age of thirty. Both, Anthony Patch and Scott Fitzgerald disapproved of their wives ' social lives. Zelda was considered a very outgoing person, which could be said for Gloria as well. “He disapproved of Gloria: She stayed out too late, she never ate her meals, she was always in a mix up...”(20). Anthony Patch said this about Gloria, and since F. Scott Fitzgerald is known to have used his personal life as references, it can be inferred that he felt that way about his wife Zelda.

A student her age gossips, “Her family won’t make a big deal out of this because they’re used to teen moms.” This only encouraged her to keep going with the project she was doing. The reason why she kept going is because she wanted to prove people wrong. When people move from partner to partner, often with no intention of seeing the person again, they have to refrain from the natural inclinations to form a bond of trust with them. As Zimmerman states, “Rather than learning to approach the other with openness, the practice of hooking up encourages one to draw near to the other with distrust, doubt, and fear…hooking up in its most basic form, is simply about the ability to become unhooked from one’s partner” (Zimmerman 56). Although the natural human response to intimacy follows sexual behaviors, those who engage in “hooking up” must guard themselves, suppressing that desire, in order to continue this behavior without hanging on to past partners. This is not healthy behavior if one intends to enter into marriage in the long-run, as the practice of self-disclosure and trust is integral to a long term relationship. Again, Zimmerman writes, “the practice of hooking up fosters the skill of shutting down one’s mind and heart and allowing only one’s body to function as something to be consumed without any development of emotional or psychological intimacy” (Zimmerman 56). This is also unhealthy behavior for a future relationship. Constant practices of disrespect, objectification, and a lack of self-disclosure are sure to become habitual, and prevent
Scott Fitzgerald grew up in a poor family and didn’t want to end up like his parents who he saw as failures. He was taught to act like a gentleman and eventually got accepted into an Ivy League school. When he got there he was blinded by visions of every one loving him and wanted to be well known and loved by them all. The duration of his college days was spent partying and writing plays. After college he decided to join the war. One night he attended a dance for soldiers and met a girl there. He was certain he fell in love with her on the spot and was crazy over her to the point where he was almost obsessed. This girl was wealthy unlike he was, and eventually her father made them break up because in his mind “rich girls don’t marry poor boys”. Fitzgerald was completely distraught over the break up and missed her dearly. He kept all her letters to him and made them into a little makeshift book. He was later deported to Alabama to begin training, and just as his regiment was to be shipped out, the war ended. He was never able to fight and that upset him, but he still imagined himself a war hero nonetheless. He met a girl in Alabama named Zelda and fell in love with her and married her. They had one child
There are different types of experiences that Fitzgerald had throughout his life. Some experiences could be happy, exciting or some could be sad, disturbing. F. When Fitzgerald was a child, he did not get the chance to make childhood friends because his parents moved different places before he started his school. “Fitzgerald attended the Newman school in Hackensack, New Jersey and while he was in school; he continued to write for school publication” (“F (rancis)”). After he graduated high school, he attended Princeton University class of
In college preparatory as well as college, Fitzgerald lacked in his grades and continually made bad choices. Reynolds, a well known historical author, explains how from a young age, girls were always fond of Fitzgerald, causing him to feel entitled to love. He assumed he would quickly find romance in his life, but he realized that it takes a long time to develop a relationship. Fitzgerald went to a private college preparatory school where he failed to get good grades. When it came around the time for him to apply to
Although Ginevra King was Fitzgerald¡¦s first true love, she certainly was not his last. She came from a prominent though not wealthy family and had just graduated
