According to Forbes Magazine (2015),
“Chick-Fil-A has experienced more than 10% sales increase almost every year since launching in 1946 and their franchisees retention rate has been 96% for nearly 50 years.” (Kurse, 2015).
We can all agree Chick-Fil-A has accomplished tremendous success by any commercial standard. Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant in 1946 named Dwarf Grill in Hapeville, Georgia. In the early 1960’s, he founded Chick-Fil-A and soon after took credited for inventing Chick-Fil-A’s delicious boneless breast chicken sandwich. Chick-Fil-A has elevated to become the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States with over 2,000 locations and is privately held and family owned to this day (Chick-Fil-A, n.d.).
Chick-Fil-A has been one of the few companies to maintain a high number of sales for over 40 years, it is not only their great food but it is also their unique ambiance. Cleanliness is one the big factors when choosing somewhere to dine-in or carry-out, many fast food chains have lost the sense of sanitation and cleanliness in their locations. Chick-Fil-A has maintained a clean area from the ordering station to the restrooms (Marketing, n.d.). The overall appearance is simple but elegant, such as their menus which are very standard with minimum of colors and pictures of the product, each product has a certain amount of inches from each other therefore the menu is not congested or jam-packed.
