Alyssa's Positive Observation

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on this date. I arrived at the operation which is located at 4826 University Park, Texarkana about 3:02 pm. I was greeted by Angela Davidson the the assistant director. The purpose of the inspection and the subchapters that would be evaluated were explained to Angela. Jennifer Treadway the director arrived at the center approximately 10 minutes later.

Over the past six months I have mentored Sonya in a religious setting and in a group therapy setting. In the beginning the product displayed no evidence of the establishment and the use of referents and signs were often used when classifiers should have been used. In addition, some sign were produced inaccurately structurally and conceptually and it was evident that the ASL syntax conveyed a limited range of grammatical structures and the vocabulary depicted in the product was limited.

Fabiola was a student in my sixth grade class during the 2013-14 school year at Roosevelt Elementary School. She has a great attitude and a positive spirit. Fabiola maintained good grades, worked very hard each day, and enjoyed contributing to classroom discussions. Fabiola would ask for help when needed and always seemed to have a pleasant outlook on things. She is not afraid to “speak up” or to share in front of a group of peers. I think these are positive traits that will help her in the future.

Not only is she an excellent academic student, but she also brought life to the band at Ashley High School. Whoever would sit next to her would be very lucky, not just because she is an amazing saxophonist but she also has a quick wit

Although I’ve been asked to write a number of recommendations for students during my teaching and coaching career, I cannot recall being as enthused to recommend a student as I am for Hannah Mickey. As a four-year member of the varsity basketball team, Hannah was called up to play with the varsity towards the end of her freshman year. During this time, I can assure you that she was a huge asset to our organization. Norah excelled and most amiably shared her love for Art with her students and colleagues, in a manner that I have rarely seen before. Her love for Art is to be respected and admired. She has also helped our students to believe they were all artists in their own way.

It is a difficult task to explain all of the wonderful things Kailey has accomplished over her high school career. These are only a few that stand out to me and that have helped shape the confident and driven young woman she has become. Kailey would be a well deserving recipient of the State Fair of Texas Scholarship. Makenzie Walke is already a great person. She will continue to pursue intellectual excellence through her open mind and positive outlook on life. Kenzie has been in many of my classes through most of her high school career. Her creativity has been key in her sussess. She is always willing to put in extra effort into every project she attempts and her creativity guides her correctly everytime. Her ability to connect with others has been observed in action through class activities. She has been involved with many different interviewing, leadership, and follower roles within the classes she has taken. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Natalie. She is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working. Beyond that, Natalie is an intellectually impressive and ambitious student who is always ready to further herself in any program. Along with her undeniable talent, Natalie has always been an absolute joy to work with.

Her social strengths are working while interacting with other students. Also, she gets along with everyone in the class.

It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Alexis Santerre. It has been my pleasure to know Alexis throughout her high school career. Her infectious smile and charming personality makes it a treat to be in her company. Although I find Alexis well above her age in maturity, she remembers to have fun, as a high school student should. She can always be counted on to get the job done and have it meet more than your expectations. She is very self-sufficient and is true to herself and her ethics. She is a born leader, and works excellently in groups and frequently pushes her groups to reach their goals. Furthermore, I have rarely seen a student more respectful to both teachers and her peers than Georgia. She is a very social person, and is both outgoing and funny. Georgia is also exceptionally creative. She is always pushing herself to look at challenges and assignments in a different way and it always pays off, especially when writing essays and in other written assignments, as she is an amazing writer. The characteristics that Georgia has demonstrated throughout her entire high school career have prepared her for the upcoming challenge of collegiate academics. I am certain she will approach these new opportunities with the same persistency and drive for excellence that she applies to all of her endeavors, especially as she challenges herself with the new learning experiences and community that are available in the college setting. On the team, I met a sophomore named Casey Gaughan. At first, I thought of her a super sweet and silly girl who was a bit awkward. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that Casey was special. She is one of the most inspirational person I have ever met. She pushed herself to the limit academically and extracurricularly. Yes, she was head of the Environmental Action Committee, the Human Rights Coalition, and the Christian Fellowship Club, but she did so much more for the community than just that. Casey was completely selfless. Despite her busy schedule, she was always willing to set aside time for anyone that needed her guidance. She always spoke kindly of others.
