He had his weaknesses and strengths just like any leader. Some of the strengths that he displayed were: ability to strategize; great oratory skills; and a commanding leadership style. Hitler has been lauded for his ability to strategize and focus on the weaknesses of the military forces of the opposing sides. He would take every detail and ensure that there was no entry point into his army. Further, he showed his bravery in most of the military confrontations that he faced during his tenure. Hitler was very fluent and influential in his speech and expression. Before going to address the people, he would ensure that he examined all the issues that would be received by the people in their hearts, and that he would reach out to as many of them as possible. The overriding themes in the chapter “Hitler’s Position in the Nazi System” were the stubbornness and charisma of Hitler and the chaos within the Nazi Party. The weak leadership of Hitler along with the inability to concentrate power to one position helped lead the Third Reich to be a very frenzied and unorganized government.

Indisputably he had an ability to lead and motivate. He was revered with almost God – like fanaticisms by his people. This essay will set out to establish the basis of his leadership and within that framework, the nature of the man and his vision for the world.

Adolf Hitler was one of the most powerful leaders in the history of Europe. His name is permanently etched into the world’s conscious as the instigator of some of the worst atrocities ever seen. Although Hitler’s overconfidence and ruthlessness ultimately lead to his demise, his persuasive powers, creative mindset and problem-solving skills made him a strong and effective leader. Hitler’s incredible speaking skills were hard to find in Germany at the time, which coupled with his efficient use of tools like propaganda and Hitler Youth allowed for him to singlehandedly control the thoughts of a nation. His distinct ideas about the Nazi aesthetic lead to the repression of all other forms of culture, which contributed to the distortion of the German outlook on culture. Hitler’s innovative policies brought Germany out of unemployment through the mass creation of jobs in rearmament and public works projects. Hitler’s promises and manipulative tricks made him a well liked and effective leader.
Christopher D’Inzeo Ms. Nastri ELA Research Essay 2/7/16 The Rise of Adolf Hitler “Nazi leader Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) was one of the most powerful and infamous dictators of the 20th century”. Adolf Hitler was responsible for the Holocaust, the mass murder of a total of eleven million people, six million being Jewish. Many innocent citizens were taken from their homes and separated from their families. From there, they were put into concentration camps where they were forced to live in inhuman conditions.
Adolf Hitler was a skilled politician. “Many people didn’t take Hitler seriously, but his fiery words and brilliant blue eyes seemed to hypnotize those who listened to him. His emotional speeches made crowds cheer” “hail, Hitler!” (Peter Hoffmann). Hitler joined a small group of men called the Nazis and soon became their leader (Peter Hoffmann). People believed that he was their protector and their friend (Peter Hoffmann). Hitler will probably never be thought of as protector, friend, or good man ever again.
From January of 1933 to April of 1945, Adolf Hitler ruled over the German people and became known as one of the most notorious dictators the world has ever seen. Several studies done by scholars and historians show that Hitler “displayed substantial initiative, toughness of mind, self-confidence, and ruthlessness” (Housden 188). Using coercion techniques and his understanding of the human psyche, Hitler was able to bully and lie to his European neighbors in order to achieve his objectives. He fooled nations into believing his “peaceful” intentions, but his mission for World War II came to an ultimate failure leading to his suicide in April of 1945 (Housden 200). Adolf Hitler faced eventual failure as a military leader as a result of his misunderstandings of the “rules” of warfare. Hitler’s lack of experience and his inadequate knowledge of warfare were two of the key points that proved to be fatal.
