Mother Teresa once said “The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between”. Abortion is an intolerable act in which is more of a selfish act more than a selfless act. In the early 1800’s abortion was created in the western part of Europe, as big of a problem it became the Supreme Court legalized it in 1973 but big questions and concerns are still brought up about abortion. Abortion is to be considered the easy way out of responsibility and should not be taken advantage of. Abortion should be illegal because is a dangerous procedure, it’s unethical, and it is murder. “The Sixth Commandment of the Bible's Old Testament, "Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13), applies to all human beings, including unborn babies” (Should abortion be legal?). If someone were to have picked up a knife, or a syringe of poison, and stabbed somebody with it, killing them, everyone can agree, that is murder. It does not matter if it is done to a person inside or outside of their mother, they are still a unique human being. If killing a woman whom was pregnant would be considered a double homicide, but if a woman decided to get an abortion it is not murder? Taking another human being’s life is murder, there isn’t any exception to it so we shouldn’t try to make any loopholes around it. Murder is the killing of an innocent human life. Abortion is taking away an innocent human life. Therefore, abortion is murder. Abortion is an inhumane thing to do to an unborn child while putting themselves in harm's way as well. Some Abortionist have spoken up on their thoughts on their profession and what they think about abortion and what side they’re on. When asked those questions a surprising amount of abortionist have agreed of abortion being another form of murder. Most who’ve seen it as another way of murder eventually quit their job for moral reasons and proceed a pro-life …show more content…
Overruling the law which make abortion legal would be an awful mistake and unlawful since it’s against the constitution. Back in 1973 when abortion became legal due to the Roe Vs. Wade case in Texas became such a huge problem but was decided it was unconstitutional and made it legal. Abortion is a population controller in this already overpopulated world. “The United Nations estimated that the world's population will increase to 9.3 billion by 2050, which would be "the equivalent of adding another India and China to the world," - ”With 43.8 million abortions performed worldwide in 2008, the population increase if abortion were unavailable could be substantial.” (Should abortion be
Abortion is widely debated across the world and in 1973 Roe v. Wade would start an issue with ethical and legal issues. There are multiple cases arguing why it should or shouldn’t be lawful to go through with this procedure. Women should have the right to get an abortion as It is her rights to decide if they aren’t able to be able have a child, the woman shouldn’t have to rely on anyone else, she should be able to make this decision as they have to carry it for 9 months and endure the physical pain. Abortion should not be illegal because it is justifiable in cases of rape, or when the woman has mental health or financial issues.
Jaden is a fifteen year old girl in high school, one night she went to a party with her boyfriend with no parent supervision so there was a lot of underage drinking, she doesn’t remember a lot from the party that night because she was under the influence, but she does remember being upstairs with her boyfriend. A few days later her boyfriend had told her that she needed to take a pregnancy test because he didn’t use protection, later that day she found out that she was pregnant. Jaden is scared to tell her parents that she is pregnant but she knows she has to tell them so they can help her get an abortion. Teens should be able to get an abortion without parental consent because taking care of a child while in high school can be challenging, it can be hard to provide for a child as a teen, and although it means you have to kill your own child, having an abortion is cheaper than taking care of a baby.
The topic of aborting an innocent fetus has been overwhelmingly controversial in the United States. The two sides to this ongoing debate is pro-life advocates and pro-choice advocates. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus; whether it is an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. Abortions are most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy and can be performed as a medical or surgical procedure. Medical abortions include two types of abortion pills; while the surgical procedures include vacuum aspiration and dilation and evacuation. Ultimately, I am one of the many “pro-lifers”, and I strongly agree that abortion should be illegal because it negatively affects our people. Women across the nation are becoming impregnated and following a short amount of judgement time, turn to abortion to solve their problems but in the end hurt themselves with this decision. Abortions should be illegal because it is immoral and unconstitutional, causes severe mental and physical issues, and negatively impacts the economy. “During the ancient Roman times it has been supposed that abortion and the destruction of unwanted children was permissible, but as our civilization has aged, it seems that such acts were no longer acceptable by rational human beings, so that in 1948, Canada along with most other nations in the world signed a declaration of the United Nations promising every human being the right to life”
Since the legalization of abortion in 1973, over 58 million babies have been terminated. This number will only continue to grow. Abortion is one of the most controversial topics out there. Two people come into play, pro-life and pro-choice supporters. If someone is pro-life, they don’t agree with abortions. However, if someone is pro-choice, they like the idea of a women being able to choose. These two people are like oil and water; they don’t mix well. Abortions should be illegal in the United States because innocent babies are being killed, babies are individuals, and babies should have rights to their own bodies.
Did you know 80% of women abort their kid if they have down syndrome? Abortion is where they end the baby’s life well it is still in the womb. Abortion has been an issue since the 1960’s and continues to grow today. About 1/4 of pregnancies end in abortion and 1/3 of americans before the age of 45 have gotten an abortion. ( (Guttmacher.) Abortion should be illegal considering the reasons for it, ethics and medical effects.
Would you be here if your mother had aborted you? You cannot create life, so why would you want to take it away? According to AbortionNo in the article, 10 Reasons Why Abortion Is Wrong, over 56 million unborn children have been killed after the legalization of abortion in 1973. Every human being should be given the opportunity to exist since we do not have control of what the future holds for them. For example, Barack Obama would not be the first African-American president of the United States, if his mother had not afforded him the opportunity to live and be influential. I believe everyone deserves a chance in life. This paper will focus on the reasons
Twenty to thirty million legal abortions occur worldwide each year. The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between – (Mother Teresa). Before 1973, individual states were allowed to decide whether abortion would be legal within their borders. The topic of abortion and whether or not it is right or wrong is a constant debate in todays society. Everyone has their own beliefs on the matter, but it should not be a question of what we believe, it should be the question of whether or not this procedure should be considered an illegal act. There are hundreds of woman everyday that have an abortion, and hundreds of innocent lives being slaughtered legally. The fact that this procedure is legal in the U.S, and that people actually see it as their “choice” or “right” to abort the baby, disturbs me immensely. Preforming the procedure of an abortion should be illegal in all states because abortion is murder, the fetuses can feel the pain during the procedure, and abortion can lead to psychological damage.
The topic covered in this research paper is abortion. This paper looks into the history of abortion, the pro-life view of abortion and the pro-choice view of abortion. Under history of abortion the information included is the time line of significant events of abortion such as becoming legal, also different ways in ancient times women would try to use abortions. The upgrading of technology making abortion safer and even if abortion was illegal women would still find a way to abort a baby are also covered under the history of abortion. Under pro-life choice for abortion looks into abortion murder, the rights of human and the rights of the unborn and that a women doesn't have a right to terminate her own fetus. Under pro- choice
Through every choice in life, there is a decision that must follow. Abortion is a woman’s individual choice; therefore, must be a legal part in todays society. Individual rights have an outstanding role in the controversial topic, on whether abortion should become legal in the United States . The individual rights for abortion show rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As well, women should be able to have the choice to choose to have an abortion for several important reasons. The right to make these decisions should lie in the hands of the “mother” to make decisions concerning their own to make decisions concerning their own bodies. In addition, women should be given the choice to have an abortion if they are too young
Abortion has been a hotly debated topic for years now. Abortion-rights advocates won a major victory in June when the Supreme Court struck down a Texas law requiring doctors to obtain permission to practice at hospitals near their offices and to have abortion clinics adhere to hospital building codes (guttmacher.org). A landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court upon the issue of abortion was Roe v. The right of an abortion is to only the individual and not for the government to get involved in. There ought to be no confliction as to the right
How would you feel of your right to live was taken from you? Abortion does exactly that, it takes way the right of a child to live. The fetuses in their mother’s womb are killed and cannot do anything about it. Abortion should be illegal because it kills a potential living being, harms the women’s health, demean the value of life and erode responsibility.
Pro-choice vs pro-life (abortion) is a huge moral issue that is still a problem today. There are many sides to whether or not women should have the right to receive an abortion. Abortion is defined as “termination of pregnancy before the fetus is viable” (CITATION). Many women face problems where abortion is the right choice for them, but still feel obligated to have the child. For example, if they’re in an abusive relationship: she should not have the child in fear of him/her growing up with nothing but abuse in the household. (S)he will most likely grow up to have anxiety and depression. Abortion is an issue that needs to be fixed. Women should have the right to do what she wants with her own
There is a lot of controversy over whether or not abortion is okay and i’m here to tell you that it is not.
Abortion is a controversial topic that neither man nor women in a relationship can see eye to eye on. Abortion is something that is taken very seriously since it does come down to a fetus life. Globally, abortion puts innocent lives each year at stake; is a senseless option when there are other alternatives such as adoption for someone who doesn’t want to take accountability for their irresponsible actions.
“There are nearly 1.2 million abortions performed in the United States each year” (Operation Rescue, 2014). That was 1.2 million innocent lives that were ended before they even had a chance to begin. Abortion has been legal for decades now, and it is time to put a stop to all the murdering of unborn children. This senseless killing of an unborn child needs to be recognized for what it truly is, and that is legalized murder. Abortions should be made illegal in the United States because it is taking the life of an innocent person, there are other options out there and lastly abortions are not only harming the unborn child but also cause harm to the mother.
