We all have somebody who inspires us all. No matter how they look, what they wear, or what they do. The Weeknd (or Abel) has inspired me in many ways and there is no other person I look up to besides him. Abel Tesfaye was born on February 16,1990 in Toronto,Canada. Since Abel was young he always admired people and wanted to be like them. But growing up for Abel was not easy, his mother was not around much and others judged him and his actions. Lamar Tesfaye (Abel’s Brother) was the only one who believed in Abel’s dreams, up to this day he is still there for him. Although he went through many tough times and people judged him he never once let others opinions get in the way of his dreams. At 17 years old Abel dropped out of high school and “left one weekend and never came home”. On September 25,2012 Abel released his first single called “ Wicked Games”. Since 2012 Abel has been featured on many songs and did collaborations with many singers including: Kayne West,Ariana Grande, and many others. Currently he is on his ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ tour and his selling millions. …show more content…
His stage name ‘The Weeknd’ says it all.
Abel hated his name at the time so he made up a stage name he thought was cool. Another canadian band was already called ‘The Weekend‘ so Abel took out the e so he would be different. But that’s not the only reason why he is different from most celebrities, he grew up admiring people who use symbolism. So that’s why you don’t see him doing interviews and taking photos like everyday celebrities. It’s just not who he grew up to be. Most people have negative things to say about him but The Weeknd has inspired me not only for his music, personality, and the way he grew up,but because he is himself. Everything he has done throughout his singing career inspires me most and I hope I can be as successful as he is
During his early years he dropped out of high school and was a drug dealer for some years. He was good friends with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. They started making songs for their new album that was called “Boyz-N-The Hood”. In 1987 they made another album that was called “Straight Outta Compton” that album
Silas Deane was born to a blacksmith in Groton Connecticut. After climbing his way up the political ladder he was selected to go to France twice, the second of which was with two other prominent figures of the time, Benjamin Franklin and Arthur Lee. There they arranged a treaty of alliance with France. However he was not on good terms with at least one of his travel partners. Arthur Lee accused Deane of using his advantages to make a private fortune. Although the allegations were never proved, Deane was recalled from his position of Minister Plenipotentiary and it was all downhill from this point, as in 1781 he had written questionable letters stating that newfounded America should "patch up their quarrel with England." These letters were intercepted
Todd Bowles uses a hybrid defense scheme. Utilizing both 3-4 and 4-3 defensive fronts. Bowles likes to use his outside linebackers to blitz and try and get after the quarterback. The middle linebackers are used as run defenders and covering TE, RB and sometimes slot receivers. Bowles likes to dial up exotic blitzes to try and fool the QB and disguise where the blitz is actually coming from. In Bowles’ scheme he likes to use large lengthy cornerbacks to play man coverage on the outside and in the slot. Bowles’ defense is dependent on having cornerbacks who have the ability to play in man coverage and play press coverage and disrupt the receivers routes on the line of scrimmage to enable the pass rushers the chance to get to the QB quickly. Bowles likes to have a big strong outsider backer who can play on the strong side and set the edge for running plays. The weak side backer is smaller
Q1: WHAT CHARACTERISTICS AND PERSONALITY TRAITS MAY HAVE LED THIS PERSON TO A LIFE OF CRIME?
In 2000, he went on a tour with Faith Hill. This gave him opportunities to work with several other famous music icons including Usher, Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, and Sting among many other. He has worked on five albums.
The person that inspires me is my teachers, I'm inspired by many of my 6th grade teachers like my math teacher, my science teacher, etc. My parents and my teachers help me so much through my problems, and such good rule models. Hopefully, I can be like them when I grow up, so I can be an inspiration to someone else one day.
Bob Fosse was born on June 23, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, USA as Robert Louis Fosse.
“I’m leaving you!” or “I want a divorce!” Is what we hear now a days by women or men, but it wasn’t as easy back in the 1800s for women they had no rights, their “job was to be a meek, obedient, loving wife who was totally subservient to the men.”(Laura Donnaway). Women couldn’t leave their husbands just because they didn’t love them no more or they caught in affairs because they wouldn’t get anything because “all of her inheritance (if any existed) would belong to her husband.” (Kelley Smith). Which is why many women had to live with being treated like objects instead of human beings.
Most people would guess that a young teen like myself would be influenced the most by the hippest artist of today, the latest movie star, or maybe the team who designed the latest iPhone. Though they are very inspiring, I have been influenced by someone who is not in the twenty first century, yet his legacy and great contributions will go on for centuries. This individual is Charles Drew. Drew was an African American physician and medical researcher who made life changing developments in the medical field. He studied blood transfusions, developed effective techniques for blood storage, and applied his knowledge to develop a blood bank. Charles Drew is most inspiring to me because he was passionate, selfless, courageous, and stood
I chose a famous rapper that goes by the name “Lil Uzi Vert” his real name is Symere Woods but that is his rapper name. He is one of my favorite rappers. I chose him because in my opinion, he is unique. He is not like any rapper who shows how rich he is. He’s a man with a good heart. His music videos are unique for a rap music video. I like his style and how he stands out from a crowd.
If I would have to choose a historical figure that inspires me most, it would have to be Andrew Carnegie. Coming to America as a scottish immigrant and digging himself out from the bottom class. He single handedly created Carnegie Steel, which allowed America to grow upwards with his steel as its backbone, and lifeblood. In the face of impossible odds he surpassed everyone's wildest imaginations of what a human being can accomplish and achieve in their lifetime.
Beyoncé in my opinion has not only inspired many teens, but also grown women. She inspired people not to give up,for example when I see Beyoncé up on stage, she really motivates me to keep going and that anything is possible if I put my mind to it. Beyoncé has also proven to woman that we are very powerful and we have to stand up for ourselves no matter what she is one of the best singers ever recognized and she is also a fantastic role model for all
The artist I have chosen for this project is John Roger Stephens, also known as John Legend. Born on December 28, 1978 in Springfield Ohio, John showed musical potential at an early age. His grandmother taught him to play his first instrument, which was the piano. He grew up playing and singing in his church’s choir. His talent at that age was amazing, labelling him a child prodigy. Growing up, he listened to music from Michael Jackson, LL Cool J, Boyz II Men, and MC Hammer, very influential African American artists. They were able to change the way people viewed African Americans with their music, and make the world a more accepting place. John knew that he wanted to become a vocalist, and was determined to make his dream
People inspire me. The people who want to do well and make others feel good about themselves. For example, feminists who want everyone to have respect and the same civil rights regardless of gender, anti-bullying clubs, suicide prevention hotlines, and African American women who embrace the color of their skin and hair.
Over time, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been privileged to have had numerous teachers and professors who I respect for their patience and intelligence. There are artists that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to society, and their ability to change our futures. Of all the people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire most is my father.
