The concert I went to was called Bronco fusion. It was held after the first week of school, the ASI team wanted to start off the school year with a a concert so people can enjoy some good music. It was going to be my second time going to a concert, I didn’t know what to expect because the concert I’ve too wasn’t as heavily crowded as this one. I usually don’t like big crowd events, but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people. From the phalet it says that there were going to be four performance by 2 DJ from our school, RL grimes the DJ, and Tinashe. Although there were four performance I will be discussing only the about the DJ, because they had the biggest impact throughout the performance and how Tinashe didn’t really fall …show more content…
The first dj played allot of techno and EDM music. I was in the middle of the crowd so everytime the beat would drop there would be a lot of jumping and people are rubbing on me. I felt like it was appropriate to start the concert with EDM and techno music since everyone can just feel the rhythm and different melody of to get hype. The next one to perform would be another student DJ, but his songs were different compared to the first DJ. I notice he incorporated a lot of rap, hip hop and RnB tracks into his transition. Majority of his songs are songs you’d hear on the radio like Drake’s song “Fake Love” and Tee Grizzley “First Day Out”. It was cool that the performance transition from EDM and techno where anyone can by it into it because it’s just beats and rhythms all collide together to make a …show more content…
The way he transitioned his songs were so perfect. At every drop of the beat people would jump up and down. I was sweating so much during his performance and would get really tired during all the hype. What really intrigue me was Grimes transition in between his songs. He had songs to hype people up, but the same time he also have songs to let people rest, a mellow song to calm the noise and still get the crowd to move. He had a flow throughout his performance, he really consider how the people crowd felt. Grimes performed for about 40 minutes but it felt longer and because i was just lost into the music. I was just so hype that I disregard all the things around me; people pushing me around, the smell of sweat and alcohol it didn’t bother me I was just so into the his
On Friday night, November 13, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. I attended the Manhattan School of Music for the Jazz Orchestra that performed by Jazz vocalists and MSM alumni Jane Monheit and many other musicians. That place is unlikely the ordinary place, people have appropriate dress on and have nicely etiquette toward the performers, unlike me, many of audiences seem like that they come to this concert with certain knowledge of Jazz orchestra. And its musical venue was the ideal spot for the concert, so I sat in a decent spot spot that located at midst of the concert hall where I can view all the performers and hear performers’ music clearly. And the conductor informally began the show was quite nicely and politely which made me feel really comfortable
The Lacks family was greatly taken advantage of in the 1950s because of their race, lack of education, and social class. The family believes they should be compensated with a donation given the amount of money Henrietta’s cells were worth. Her cells were sold all over the world for a large sum of money. Additionally, several scientific discoveries were uncovered because of Henrietta’s cells. The new knowledge has no price. However the family is continuing to look for a donation. The Lock’s family should not receive monetary compensation for her donation because it there were laws in place at the time preventing patients from suing hospitals regarding interactions with cells and other things.
The first piece that was played was called “Dragon Blues.” This piece was just played by the ensemble, the solo singer was not on stage at this point. I enjoyed this piece because it had several solos in it which truly showcased the talent of the artist that played on stage. When they played you could tell that they were passionate about their music and they worked extremely hard to become as musically talented as they are. “Dragon Blues” had a moderate tempo with a very thick texture. Although there were solos the instruments all played together through most of the piece. Overall I think the structure of the piece was planned out perfectly. The solos and ensemble parts were spaced out perfectly. To me the pitches sounded very high, also the dynamics were insane. The instrumentalist would go from soft and quiet to hard and loud in the matter of one
First to enter the stage was Doug E. Fresh. The stage crew transformed the stage in a matter of minutes. They pulled the turntable that the DJ was performing on to the side of the stage, the instruments remained on stage as two DJs approached the two turntables that were directly placed center of the stage. Shortly afterwards Doug E. Fresh was right before me performing all of his original hits. I was so eager to see him hit the stage that I could barely keep my phone still as I recorded his performance.
Ryland was the DJ, I was shocked at his talent, it wasn't as easy as it appeared to be, but it looked like a lot of fun. Although I shouldn't have been surprised, his whole family sweated talent. He had invited about 20 people, strangers to be, and maybe even to them.
I encountered many obstacles while planning the event. Due to hectic schedules, my peers were involved in other activities and had little time to assist me in planning the concert. As a result, I realized that if we wanted a successful event, I would need to take the lead alone.
The show all started from open performances from Post Malone and Moxy Raia. When buying the tickets I didn’t know who these artists were so I had to look them up. Post Malone is a rapper and guitarist, so I thought he should be good. Therefore, when I got into the arena I was excited to listen to him, but it was awful. He was so loud and he didn’t really sing. I would never want to go back and listen to him again. This got my expectations down for the concert. I definitely
I am fixing my hair, and humming along to a song I heard on the radio, when I hear the concert start. I heard the announcements begin and the lights go dim. There was people all around me. People tripped over cords or called out demands. Some had microscopic mics on their faces, some had been putting on makeup on.
On Saturday April 29 in the downtown area of Las Cruces I went to the country music festival. The band I went to go see was the Eli young band. The band was American country band made of a lead singer who also played guitar, as well two more members playing bass guitar, and electric guitar, piano as well as a drummer. There was so many people to see Eli young band I was scared I was going to be crushed being so closed on the stage. I don’t remember the title of the first song they played but it was more of a rock country then regular country and I liked it. It was something different to hear. People assume all country sounds the same, but they really mixed it with more a modern day country. From the beginning the one the guitar had an amazing
As I watched him, I felt like the music was literally coming through him because he was so engrossed in the music and dancing. He actually stopped in the beginning of a song because he was “not feeling it enough.” He recently started performing so he has not perfected it, but he is definitely on his way. In addition, no one is perfect so I did not mind him stopping to fix that. You can tell it is very important to him to give his audience an exceptional show. Even though they did not have any special effects, it was still one of the most superlative concerts I have been to simply because of his enthusiasm and desire to give an amusing show. Most of the music was familiar and the songs that were not became my new treasured songs. One of the things that related to what I have learned in music appreciation was the use of instruments to enhance the music. Moreover, an interesting fact I learned about his music was that it was inspired from Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley played a big role in Frankie’s muse for making
We attended a concert at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, in Royal Oak, Michigan. Both of us have experienced events at this venue and we were excited to see Getter DJ. Getter is a dubstep and bass music producer that has been releasing music since 2010, but just recently has grown in popularity. This show was a part of his first bus tour across the U.S. There are many elements that go along with producing live entertainment events, and every participant has a different experience whether it be positive or negative. Below is a detailed description of the event and our experiences. This was Dylan’s fourth Getter show of 2016, and he could tell that the set he played was not much different from previous shows. It was the same music but mixed in a different way.
World War I, or the Great War, occurred from 1914-1918. There were multiple fundamental causes of World War I. Nationalism, imperialism, militarism, international anarchy, and entangling alliances were the fundamental causes of the war. Nationalism implies that each ethnic group has the right to form a sovereign state, so France wanted Alsace and Lorraine back, there were troubles in the Balkans, the National Pride of each ethnic group to hold a sovereign state was on the line, and it pinned nations against each other. Imperialism was another fundamental cause of World War I because the European rivals clashed over the colonies in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. The Europeans wanted to utilize the raw materials found in these areas and use them
The remaining songs in the concerts were original songs that the band wrote and songs that were coming out on their debut EP. The first original song played was the song “Same Old Thing”. This song had a polyphonic texture between the guitar and the piano and had a fast tempo. One of the motifs in this song was very catchy and was repeated a couple times. This song was short and had a steady rhythm. The dynamics of this song were good because the tones were not too soft or too loud. The melody had a bright and warm mood that matched the atmosphere of the club. All the instruments blended beautifully which resulted in a great harmony. I felt like the drumming on this song made the song complete.
I first thought the concert would include full band, background singers, different lightings and costume changes. My thought was quickly changed when I saw that there was one drummer and the artist with his two guitars. It was very different from the other concerts that I’ve been to. He was really laid back and speaking about his life openly to us. He shared with us about his life as an artist, a husband, father and a follower of Jesus. The concert was very energetic, with a lot of dancing, shouting and sing along. The songs he sung were from his old and upcoming
Going to a concert is an experience incomparable to any other. Here it is, the moment, every concert goer has been waiting for, the artist coming onto the stage. Hearts begin to race as the music builds each fleeting second before the artist comes out. Smoke fills the dark stage illuminated by the band's tour video playing. Then, in the center of the stage, doors begin to open revealing four singing boys. Crying and screaming
