In this week’s reflection, I learned the history of the ArmaLite Rifle AR-10. This battle tested rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO or .308 Winchester was created by Marine Aviation Ordinance Corporal Eugene Stoner. Eugene Stoner developed this rifle in the 1950’s at a section of the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation called ArmaLite. What makes this achievement in small arms unique is that the AR-10 has a straight stock and barrel line that is manufactured using composite and forged alloys allowing for the weapon to be lighter and shoot easier with greater precision. The fantastic design not only worked great but was also improved on later to produce the AR-15 chambered in .223. Due to the cost of arming the military, more soldiers could be outfitted
Assembly Bill 109 was signed by Governor Edmund Brown Jr. and implemented on October 1, 2011 to close the revolving door of low-level inmates cycling in and out of state prison. It was a way to reduce the number of inmate in our overpopulated 33 prisons. The cause ab109 and ab117 to be put into place was a lawsuit Plata vs. Schwarzenegger fact that California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation was in violation of the eight amendments, the American with Disabilities Act and section 504 rehabilitation act of 1973. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation medical services repeatedly violated. Which this happen it was decided by a three judge penal of the U.S. Supreme court they concluded in a 184 page
IntroI am doing this report on the M1 Garand for Mr.Walker 182's History Class. The Garand is a fascinating World War II semi-automatic rifle. In the sub-sections below I will describe the developement history of the gun, the service history, and info on different versions. I wanted to add diagrams of the M1 rifle but the pictures are copyrighted and I was not able to download but the diagrams could be found at <a href="http://www.chestnutridge.com/gchart.asp">http://www.chestnutridge.com/gchart.aspDevelopment HistoryThe origins of the United States Rifle, Caliber .30, M1 begin around August, 1900, when Captain O.B.

What was once a barren area full of trees and grass was soon a bustling city with over 30,000 people. Buildings and houses were around every corner with signs hanging up everywhere. Many of these signs were secret messages to the residents of Oak Ridge to keep what they saw, heard, and did there a secret. This entire city was built faster than any other and it was all for one reason; to build the most destructive weapon in the world. The atomic bomb.
A Rifle could shoot a bullet up to 1,000 yards–and were more accurate. However, until the 1850s it was nearly impossible to use these guns in battle because, since a rifle’s bullet had roughly the same diameter as its barrel, they took too long to load. (Soldiers sometimes had to pound the bullet into the barrel with a mallet.)
If you deal with a great deal of data collection on a daily basis, you know that inputting and collecting that data can be a real pain. But rather than relying on multiple, complex systems, what if there was a way to collect multiple fields of data all at the same time? And with just one single adapter and cable? The Heidenhain ND1100/1200 Quadra-Chek Gage Interface with Multi-field Output allows for you to send data directly to Excel, with no software wedge required! You will be able to output to five fields in Excel or to any other Explorer based SPC programs with just the simple push of a single button.
In wars prior to the Civil War, soldiers wielded weapons such as the musket which shot only one bullet at a time. Though these types of weaponry could shoot as far as 250 yards, they were inconvenient and wasted time. To even aim at the target accurately one had to be 80 yards away. Similarly to muskets, rifles were inconvenient because they took a while to reload because the bullet was almost the same size of the barrel and again, wasted time. Bullets with a pointed tip were created in 1848 by Claude Minie. Because the diameter of the bullets were smaller than the barrel, soldiers could put them into the gun quicker and more effectively. With Minie’s bullets, rifles were simpler to reload but still had to be reloaded with one bullet at a time. That unprotected gap of time made soldiers more vulnerable so in 1849 a repeating rifle called the Volitional Repeater was patented by Walter Hunt. They were popularized in 1863 during the Civil War. By this time many models were being sold but the most common one was the Spencer Carbine which could shoot seven bullets in just 30 seconds. These, like most Civil War era weapons, were produced and used by the North, but not
Prior to the Civil War during the Napoleonic era, artillery was a smoothbore weapon system primarily forged with bronze. These systems were very large, cumbersome, horse drawn and difficult to move into battle. However, near the end of the Napoleonic Era the Gribeauval system would improve cannon systems by casting them out of a solid piece of bronze, and boring out the center. This new Napoleonic invention increased range and accuracy, ultimately, establishing the cornerstone of rifled artillery.1
There was a high food shortage in 1946 and this caused many to ration. World War II left a deep wound in India as two and a half million Indian soldiers were sent to aid the allies and 24,000 killed. Many were unemployed as they lost their jobs after the war since there was no need for war production. Gandhi’s party, Indian national congress, created in 1885 seemed it would be the power that ruled after Britain left. This changed, however, as the All Muslim league became popular during World War II. Muslims were a minority compared to the Hindus. The Partition of 1947 created Pakistan, where the Muslims would live, and India, where the Hindus would live.
The year 2017 is going to be a very interesting year with respect to the UI and UX in the app industry. Many experts have suggested that UI and UX trends of 2016 will disappear in the year 2017. The UX and the UI will see a transitional change in the design language across the spectrum. A whole new array of new design thought will be tested in the year 2017. In this article, we are going to discuss the most likeable scenario in the design trend waiting to happen in the year 2017. So let's buckle up and continue to the article to find out more. let's begin.
Twentieth Century America, more specifically the year of 1957. We have come so far since, then It was many years of ups and downs; furthermore, there are some years perceived to be its most defining but the one that is most prevalent is 1957 due to the growth, overcoming of obstacles, and inventions. This year is unique or “the most defining” because political and cultural actions happened such as a walk out of a high school in Arkansas, a race to get to space first and the invention of the Frisbee.
A benefit of AB109 is that everyone in society will be able to find solutions in order to guarantee safety for everyone as well has offering several programs as a resource for training offenders. I understand that corrections is consuming a lot of money and that training offenders is costly which is why I can see how it could become a challenge but it is also an opportunity to bring ex-offenders back into society. Thus, ex-offenders will now know how to work in a certain place because they have experience, knowledge, and abilities to succeed in a real life job because of the training that they received thanks to the programs offered because of the AB 109. Thanks to all of the programs offered ex-offenders that want to turn their life around to become a good citizen in the community will hopefully have more opportunities for him or her to be able to turn from a criminal delinquent or offender to a well educated, hard working, and wanting to succeed citizen of society. This therefore will case a decreasing rate of reoffender violations for the community because these individuals want to better themselves.
