A Veterinarian Career

Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.

The career that I want to achieve is a Veterinarian. I want to become a Veterinarian after I graduate college. Want to become that, because I would like to help out animals that are sick and be able to make their owners happy. I would have to go to high school and go to classes to learn about health science. Then, go to college and learn more about science so I will be able to know what is need to become a veterinarian. I will get my degree in college and graduate.

When you were a kid, you probably carried around some sort of toy that you liked. For girls it might have been barbie dolls or the life-sized baby dolls. If you were a boy it was probably little toy cars (and we all carried around a blanket at one point in our life). But for me it was always stuffed animals that hung around in my hands. I was hardly interested in the dolls and doll houses that other girls had. My mother tells me that wherever I went (and there are pictures to prove it) I always carried a stuffed animal around. Whether it be a pig, cat, or monkey, I was always holding a stuffed toy. When I was told that there was a job for caring for the animals that I cherished, I was overcome with joy, I wouldn’t stop answering the question,

“ My first instinct when I see an animal is to say “Hello.” My first instinct when I see a person is to avoid eye contact and hope they will just go away.” I have always wanted to help animals since I was five. I felt that animals can’t help themselves and I could help. The career of a veterinary technician is a gross and rewarding, because of all the different experiences that one will receive on an everyday basis. The research will describe the career of veterinary technician, what is required to become a successful veterinary technician, and the impacts this career has on today 's society.

When becoming a veterinary technician, one of the utmost important steps is to take appropriate courses in high school and college and afterwards get the correct licenses and certifications. For those, each state is a little different in which certifications they require in order to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. Whether you are planning to be a LVT (licensed veterinary technician), RVT (registered veterinary technician) or CVT (certified veterinary technician), depends on which state the tech lives in. As a veterinarian, I would like to work in a small or mixed animal general practice. Most of my veterinary experience has been shadowing at small, doctor owned, general practice clinics, and in this environment, no two days are the same. Veterinarians can choose from different specialties for a career path. Even though choosing to specialize in large animal care is less lucrative than becoming a companion animal vet, there are many reasons to still choose it as a career. Unfortunately, there is currently a shortage of large animal veterinarians. There are several factors that contribute to this shortage, including financial, large rural areas and physical challenges. Veterinarians who care for livestock are important for the production of food and any shortages of these veterinarians may have a negative effect on agriculture.

This semester I’ve learned a lot about understanding behaviors in the work place, win-win solutions, dealing with conflicts, emotions, creativity and problem solving to diversity. This class have giving me an insight on how important it is to get along with coworkers and clients and now knowing that will help me become more successful in my profession as well as my personal life. Once the class started I was trying to completing the first assignment and as the thoughts in my head was this stuff is simply common sense. I’m sure all of us know what to do at work and how to apply for jobs or working with people. Now that I’ve completed the course I can truly say in order to be the best I can be in my profession I must develop great human relations

Veterinarians have a very difficult and challenging job, but also have an extremely important duty to fulfill. Without veterinarians around the world we wouldn’t have anyone to take care of our animals and therefore provide us with beef and other meats, keep our population happy by providing care to their pets, and not to mention provide ranchers with the knowledge to keep their livestock alive and healthy. Becoming a vet isn’t easy though. Being a veterinarian requires at least 4 years of college to earn your bachelors degree plus an additional 4 years at a “veterinary school.” After attending 4 years of vet school you will earn your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.

Veterinarians provide medical services for animals that are big and small. Helping sick animals weather they are big or small. They provide medicine for house pets and farm animals. Some of the information given to the own is about how to properly care for your animal to make sure it grows the right why. Veterinarians are there to help animals no matter the size.

A career in being a veterinarian should be obtained by a person who enjoys caring for animals, and sometimes having to care for their owners when they have to make hard decisions. Before becoming, a veterinarian person should know the career proves to need a lot of education, but is well worth the work in the end. It is important to know a veterinarian’s regular duties, required education, and the possible salary before choosing a career in this field.
