Henry Louis Wallace was from my hometown of Barnwell, South Carolina. He worked as a DJ at the local radio station there. Everyone who knew him thought he was a good person. Hennery Louis Wallace was liked by all those who knew him. But one day, that soon changed.
Ulysses S. Grant was a quiet and reserved man however he was able to inspire a sense of bravery among his soldiers who fought on American battlefields (“American President”). He once said “In every battle there comes a time when both sides consider themselves beaten, then he who continues the attack wins (“Ulysses S. Grant Quotes” brainyquote). Courage in simple words means an act of bravery. Everyone has their own definition, for some the meaning is much more complicated for others it's very simple. When I think of someone who is courageous I think of my Dad and military individuals people who have fought for their country. People like doctors and scientists people who don't think about themselves when faced with a choice to give up. My definition of courage is a person that has the strength needed to do the unthinkable. Certainly, that is not just it. Courage takes a bigger picture of an act of bravery. When one is courageous enough to do what is right, he earned the utmost respect of human spirit. While some may see being courageous has to be doing a big thing, it boils down to a thing as small as saying “Sorry, I was

Sir William Wallace is believed to be one of Scotlands greatest national heroes. He led the Rising of 1297, in an attempt to reverse the loss of Scottish independence to England. He was knighted and made Guardian of Scotland. He later resigned after The Battle of Falkirk when he was defeated by the English cavalry. In August, 1305 he was arrested, condemned as a traitor, and killed. Scotland views Wallace as a national hero for his role in their freedom, however the English have viewed Wallace as a traitor, murderer, and an outlaw.
As the legend of Wallace grew, so did the support. Clans from all over Scotland decided to join him in his fight that originally started as revenge, but transformed into a fight for freedom. As more and more battles were won, the legend of Wallace travelled all across the vast lands of Scotland. The death of the leader of the rebellion didn’t stop the movement towards freedom there. William Wallace became a martyr to the people of Scotland.
