When I visit the doctor's office they are always professional. The staff is always in scrubs or dress clothes. I think that they strive to look and act professional at all times. They work their hardest to take care of everyone and be helpful and kind. As a medical assistant you can create a professional appearance by- Wearing a correct uniform or professional clothing. Making sure your hair is out of your face and neatly pinned up. Closed toe shoes Being friendly Helpful I agree with you when you say that the employees should be helpful and and friendly. The more friendly the workers are, the more I am willing to go to that doctors. I would not want to go to a doctors and see employees with facial piercings or big earrings. I find them to
My goals are to get certified as Certified Nursing Assistant, then get certified as a Medical Assistant while I pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Afterwards, I will enter graduate school to specialize in cardiology and become a cardiac physician. I figured becoming a certified nursing assistant then a medical assistant will give me a closer feel to doing what I love besides shadowing doctors and nurses as I already do.
I go to Windrose clinic they always dress professionally and act professionally too. When you get to the office they wear their scrubs and tie their hairs in pony. Steps you can take to create a professional appearance as a medical assistant are:
“Hair and fingernails must be clean, groomed and at appropriate length and artificial long fingernails are prohibited” (Appearance). Hair should be out of the face and up in a ponytail or bun depending on the length of the hair. Men with think beards and long hair should keep a short clean cut and also have their hair in a neat ponytail. The reason for this is to avoid possible contamination in a specimen and to avoid touching your hear or face during a procedure. Fingernails must be kept clean and short because long fingernails can harbor harmful bacteria and the medical assistant could accidently scratch one of the patients. Another thing about personal hygiene is the kind of perfume used. Strong perfumes should be avoided because it could make a patient dizzy or uncomfortable. Keeping your mouth clean is also important because the medical assistant is constantly talking face-to-face to patients, coworkers, and doctors. Having bad breath can cause the people around to feel uncomfortable, therefore, cause patients to have unpleasant
Ever since I earned my GED, I've been thinking about my and my family's future; which I know I can accomplish with my husband's support. I've come up with three long-term goals that I hope to accomplish within five years.

I am pursuing a Medical Assistant Associate in Applied Science degree. I choose this major because the field of work I want to be in is more hands on. I want to be in the action, where I can be doing multiple things and always be on the move. My career goals are to graduate from Berkeley College, move on to my internship, then choose a facility to work at. As I am working as a medical assistant (MA), I would like to continue my career and go back to school, and become a registered nurse (RN). I want to learn and experience different situations to gain more knowledge. Once I become a RN, I would like to continue my education and go back to school for Advance Practice Nursing. My personal goal is to develop great communication skills. I want
During my fourth year in college, I enrolled in a course called Psychology of Health Disparities. My decision to enroll in this course stemmed from my experience as a medical assistant, and my duty involved working in clinical settings low socioeconomic status individuals (SES). Even though this class met only once a week, it deeply impacted the way I viewed the public health care system. Health disparities are particularly evident in the United States health care system, mostly because of factors like SES, race, and education as well. Not only did we explore the causes of these disparities, we focused on how individuals with lower incomes were affected. In the private clinic where I worked, most individuals were under health insurance by
My chosen degree program is Associates of Applied Science in Medical Assisting at Kaplan University. I am currently a online student. I have been doing some research of my program and I have came up with a lot of very interesting facts. First the median salary for a Medical Assistant is $28,860 per year that is about $13.87 a hour, that was in May 2010. The medical profession I’ve recently decided to pursue was a certified medical assistant. You will need some type of plan before you decide to pursue in anything. My motivation is knowing I will wake up to something I love doing on a daily basis once I get my career started. I agree with you Jessi as soon as I walk into a doctors office I always noticed if the person in the front desk acknowledges me or not. We definitely need to be professional like you said in the way we dress and speak to the patient or anyone that walks into the office. The reception area needs to look clean magazines in the right spot, no trash on the floor and chairs arranged neatly. I think that if we smile we ease any nervousness or discomfort a patient may have coming in to the office.
This shows to your employers and patients that you are a professional employee. It's important to feel good about yourself in orders to focus on your job and work the best you

I served in many positions; as a general dentist, oral & maxillofacial surgery resident trainee, and currently as a solo oral surgery resident in the hospital I work in. Recently, I've been accepted as a teaching assistant in King Abdulaziz University, and I'm entitled for a scholarship. I have had the pleasure to work with past residents; I have been inspired by them, and impressed with the opportunities that would be afforded me within your program.
For me, the medical field has always been my passion. I started from a child having envisions of being an exceptional doctor and helping people heal. However, as I aged, those dreams seemed to be further from me. Even though the fantasy of becoming a doctor was never a realistic goal for me, the idea of helping ones in need never left my thoughts.
