The central conflict of the story 8was how the brave Rikki and the fearful snakes both wanted to control the garden but for different reasons. Nag and Nagaina wanted the garden to have so their baby snakes would have room to roam. While Rikki wanted to have the garden to protect the family and the good animals of the area. These events led to the action-packed and mysterious battles between the snakes and
Rikki-tikki Tavi took place in India in the late 1800s. Rikki-tikki Tavi was a brave, little mongoose who killed copra’s and Karait a venomous snake and saved a family from the snakes. Darzee, the tail-bird, helped him, and Chuchundra, the musk-rat, who never came out into the middle gave him advice but Rikki did the real fighting. When Rikki-tikki was first trying to kill the copra he was scared, but then he remember that mongooses are known to fight and kill snakes. Rikki-tikki and the copras are natural enemies. Every time when Rikki-tikki would fight his eyes would turn red and fierce.
Rikki-Tikki-Tavi was one brave mongoose who had the courage to go up against the fiercest animals on the planet, Cobras. You must be brave to fight a cobra if you are not you could be snatched up any moment. Nevertheless Rikki-Tikki-Tavi the book and the movie are the same story they have differences such as the Plot, characterization, and the conflict.
Rikki Tikki is a brave character in this story. For instance, it was Rikki Tikki vs. Nag and his wife, Nagania, and Rikki struck at Nagania “ He bit indeed…….and didn’t run away.” (para29). This proves that Rikki is brave because he bit Nagania and he wasn’t even afraid of Nagana biting or hurting him.Rikki’s character trait helps make the thesis brave because if he was afraid of everything and didn’t have any courage no one would put brave as their thesis. Also, Rikki’s character traits were found in this quote “Rikki-Tikki did not care to follow them, for he did not feel sure that he could manage two snakes at once.” This quote proves that Rikki is brave because he states that he can take on two snakes if it means protecting his family. This
2. The obvious conflict in the book, H2O, is the killer rain. This is the conflict because not only is the book name H2O ,which is a nod that the “H2O” or water is unsafe and toxic, but right at the start of the book the rain kills her boyfriend, Casper, which shows that the rain or what is living in it is toxic. But the rain only comes in two to three times in the whole book so the real conflict to me is Ruby finding her father, she travels all of britain to find him, most of the book with her “sidekick”, Darius Spratt. At the end of the book she finds out her father is actually coming to her.
This theme shows in a multitude of ways that the author utilizes throughout the story, but perhaps most significant is the central conflict
The diction which is emphasized upon the story gives a clear picture of how everything happened in a sudden and fulfilling way. The man noticed that the snake “lay rigid” and had “suddenly arrested” and eventually watched him in calm watchfulness. The snake was placid and was not doing any violent action. The man, instead, decided to fulfill his duty concerning the community. The man describes seeing the snake as he looked like a “live wire” while his “tocsin sounded”. The man’s sudden encounter with the snake was still calm up until he decides to bring out the hoe.
During the story, the first conflict is between the two panthers and the child. In summary, the two panthers were going to hunt for food for their cubs when all of a sudden they heard a distant cry (page 83). The panthers changed their path with intentions of killing the child and bringing it back for the cubs. As a result, the audience feel bad for the child because if the panthers get to it, they will win with no doubt about it. The second conflict is between the settler that has a gun and the two panthers. To begin, the settler is walking back from work when suddenly he hears a child crying. He tries to contemplate whether or not to turn around and go check if everything is okay. He finally turns around and discovers that the child was crying because the panthers were face-to-face with the child. Therefore, the settler shot the panthers to save the child. Because of this, the readers feel bad for the panthers and the cubs since the cubs will obviously die from starvation without their parents. Thus, the diverse one-sided conflicts bring out sympathy towards the
The first conflict is Clay-Boy possessing more responsibilities along him getting older. It is a person vs. person conflict and also a person vs. self because, he did countless objectives for his mother, which was pervious and he was being hard on his self to help out the family with his best capability. An exemplification is when he went to go fetch the Christmas tree the family wanted, however stopping his primary goal was a female deer that was trapped in his pile of sticks and branches. When came close to setting the doe unhurriedly, an albino buck with bloodshot red eyes attacked him in the mist of him freeing the doe. He in doubt thought quick and precisely around his surroundings and used at his advantage to escape from the buck.
5.2 One way to examine plot is to determine what type of conflict it entails. The classic divisions are: (1) person vs. person; (2) person vs. society, (3) person vs. nature, and (4) person vs. self. Often, more than one of these types of conflict occurs in a story. Using this analysis, briefly describe the conflicts in this story and classify it according to the categories set out above. The main conflict of Rikki and Nag is that Nag is trying to kill either Rikki or the dad so that Rikki would leave and nag and nagina would be ruler of the garden again.
Conflict is a key aspect in all pieces of literature. Without it, works would be very boring, predictable and would not be able to draw the reader in. There is usually one main conflict the protagonist faces, whether it is against an evil villain or the evil inside their own self. In the book The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, the courageous protagonist, Lily, struggles with an internal conflict with the guilt of possibly being the cause of her mother's death and the absence of knowledge about her mother. Following a clue left by her mother, Lily runs away from home and meets the "calendar sisters" in Tiburon, SC. There, she is finally able to discover who her mother actually was and learn the truth behind her mother's death: that Lily had accidentally shot her. Upon uncovering the whole truth, Lily is finally able to begin to forgive herself and shrug off the heavy guilt that had burdened her for years. Through Lily's struggle to figure out who her mother was and accept what happened to her, Sue Monk Kidd wishes to communicate that even if something
To kick off with, the literary element conflict is what shapes the story and causes the lesson in the theme to thrive.Conflict is the essence of drama and action and a story without conflict is like food without flavor; bland and boring. Phaethon’s(the main character of Phaethon) conflict of riding the conflict and his internal conflict of pride causes him to disobey Apollo’s-his father-rules, leading to the “disastrous consequences spoken in the theme.
Colds, disease caused by the virus is easily transmitted, and usually is spread through coughing or sneezing of an infected person. There are about 200 kinds of flu viruses that can attack us.
It is difficult to isolate the play’s conflict to anything other than on a thematic level. Every time a conflict has a potential of presenting itself, the fantasy element
