8th Grader Interview Report

SSCM Gilmore made an unannounced visit to Martinez Elementary School to conduct an interview with Madison Williams. The interview included school counselor Tamara Mathis, Madison Williams, and SSCM Gilmore. Madison is a 4th grader at the elementary school, with no known behavioral issues in class. She is known to be on time for school every day. Ms. Mathis reported that last year she was in her office a lot discussing the illness of her mother. Madison reported that she is aware what inappropriate touching is, and who she can talk to if someone touches her in bad areas. Madison reported that no one has touched her in a bad area. A captivating activity for teenagers that wanted to lift up a boring and unhealthy life participated in CNA. The Clinical Certified Nursing Assisting (CNA) from Tech Campus was always full of students from Warren Township High School or other students from different places. One of the girls in Tech Campus, Jennifer Figueroa, an intelligent and interesting girl who attended the CNA, she said, “It was a well-known and entertaining program for employment as nurse assistants, and it also increase their potential career for future job.” Her impeccable character was due to the experience she has from the nursing home. she reflected how adults might view Tech Campus.When she was interviewed, she spoke in a mature manner, in contrast

For my field project interview I chose option #1, a single in depth interview, because I believed it would be extremely beneficial for me to interview someone in the field of work that I am interested in, as a career, when I graduate. Furthermore, the field I am interested in gaining employment is in the nonprofit industry. The other day I got to sit down with my cousin Ashley Cuccinello and interview her about her college experiences. She grew up in Cicero, Illinois and moved out here during her middle school years. She graduated from Troy Middle School and Joliet West High school. ‘Cicero wasn’t the safest place to grow up, but my family made the best of the situation and always kept me safe” Ashley says as she looks back on her childhood. She is currently 25 years old and attends College of Dupage. Throughout her high school years, she was highly involved in many sports and clubs. On May 6, 2015 at 4:00 p.m., I conducted an interview with Ms. Price, a Pre-K teacher at a local school library. Ms. Price has been employed with the Pre-K program for several years. She was employed with lateral entry. This means that she had the credentials, but she had not yet received her B-K license. As she worked on lateral entry, she also continue to go to school to obtain her license.

In 8th grade staff and administration from the high school I was going to attend were at my middle school. They were there to give interviews for a program in high school called AVID. Which means advance via individual determination. It was a college preparation course which helps the students that are just below average. Average test scores, average grades and an overall average performance in school. This course was a four-year program to help these selected students get into college and to help them succeed in their classes. AVID wasn’t for dumb kids by any means. AVID pushes their students. For example they require you to take an AP class during your years of high school. AVID was for a certain kind of student, they have the ability to succeed they just don’t know how to get there. I was interviewed and mind you I was a shy, and soft-spoken little girl in middle school. I am the kind of person that you need to be around me for awhile so you can get to know me. Interviews like that I had a hard time with. They wouldn’t be able to get to know me in the ten minutes they talked to me.

The individual I chose to interview is Mrs. Felicia Colbert. She is a current assistant principal at my school. Mrs. Colbert’s experience familiarity extends from a classroom instructor to instructional educators as an assistant director. Her capability surpasses 15 years of service in and out the core content of science. Her experience in administration includes two years at middle school level and five years at a high school level as an assistant principal. I designated Mrs. Colbert as my professional to interview because I recently completed my administrator practicum under her supervision. Throughout those six months as an intern, I got to analyze just how much of an expert she is in administration leadership. Therefore,

Mary Taylor Many is as energetic and as hyper in demeanor as a guinea pig, as smart as a poodle, as bold and friendly as a Corgi, as cute as a baby pig, and as unique as an okapi. MT is my nine year old cousin. The Manys live in Kenya, Africa as missionaries. MT has a 13 year old sister named Rees, and her parents, my aunt and uncle, are both doctors. Aunt Gigi, MT’s mom, is an OB GYN, and Uncle Heath, her dad, is a surgeon. MT loves the outdoors, is creative, and is very energetic and athletic.

Imagine moving from the city to the very outskirts of somewhere you have known ever since you can remember. Luckily, Ashley only did this one time in her life. I have known Ashley since 9th grade and I know she isn't your average girl. While interviewing her I learned more about her family, school life, and her hobbies.

The two teachers interviewed for this essay work for same district at the same school. There are approximately 2500 students in the district with approximately 125 classified as special needs students. The general education teacher, Beth Foster has been teaching for 28 years in some from of general education. She has worked in grades kindergarten to 4th. She is currently working with students in special Title 1 Reading Program for general education students. Ms. Foster graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and obtained a Masters from North Texas University in Elementary Education. For my interest interview I interviewed a boy who is nine years old and in the fourth grade. I interviewed him at my old baby sitters house where he now goes. It was hard to get allot out of him because he was a little shy. I first asked him what his hobbies and interest where he said dancing and basketball. He told me he plays for a league in Kansas City and dances at a dance studio called Dynamic Dance. I asked him what he liked to do in his free time and his answer was to make people laugh, and draw. He actually drew me a picture after I interviewed him it was really good. When I asked him what are some things he dislikes to do he answered with saying, “I dislike getting in trouble.”

Having just started a new semester in college I am bound to meet some new and unique individuals throughout my classes.
