Hey Class
With Aviation hydraulic systems, they are relatively easy to maintain, they
are cost effective to install, and most importantly can operate efficiently in
even the most demanding in-flight conditions. These are the reasons
today’s modern aircrafts use fluid systems for the operation of many
flight-critical components. Reliability is just one of the characteristics of an
aircraft hydraulic system. The components are typically lightweight, easy
to install, and simple to inspect and they’re almost 100% efficient with
very little friction related loss of fluid. The operation of landing gear, flaps,
flight control surfaces, and brakes is largely accomplished with fluid power
systems. Hydraulic systems respond very quickly and efficiently to control
inputs (Fly Tek, 2017).
Disadvantages of the hydraulic system is using inappropriate fluids may
damage the components of the hydraulic system. Leakage of fluids may
cause ignition of fire hazards. Contamination in the system or fluids may
affect the performance and even damage the system. Contamination can
be chemical or particulate in nature and can be caused during fluid
production, by improper servicing of the hydraulic system or by a
component failure. Loss of system pressure can also be a drawback. This
can occur in two different ways; loss of fluid or failure of a hydraulic pump
(Skybrary, 2022).
Leakages and noise are common challenges linked with the maintenance
of the hydraulic systems. In some cases leakage is usually due to the poor
design of the system, improper installation, or system abuse (Fly Tek,
2017).

### Fluid-Mechanical Circuits
Develop the circuit of a drill in the FluidSim, observing the following requirements:
1. The design and assembly of the Hydraulic Circuit drive (clamping and working), with the following characteristics:
a. Sequential operation, put pressure, for the advance and return of the cylinders (according to the proper operation for the device) controlled by a directional 4x3 electric drive way;
2. The circuit must provide for different speed ranges for drilling work in order to allow different materials to be processed.
Note: Set the safety valve to 55 bar.
