DNA is the hereditary material of life which transfer from one generation to other species. There are some regions in DNA which code for protein when transcribed into mRNA and further translated into protein.

The gene is a fragment of DNA which is fundamental unit of heredity. Genes are passed from guardians to posterity and contain the data expected to indicate characteristics. Genes are masterminded, consistently, on structures called chromosomes. A gene can be characterized as a polynucleotide chain that comprises of sections each controlling a specific characteristic.
