Introduction: Drug abuse is slowly increasing and becoming a very common phenomenon amongst teenagers and young adults these days. Most of the commonly abused drugs affect mood by changing the levels of certain hormones such as, dopamine, and serotonin. Alcohol is abused most commonly and has several harmful effects on humans. Many other drugs such as antidepressants, which are prescribed to cure the psychological disorder, are also being abused.
