Introduction:
The rate at which the position of an object changes with in an interval of time is referred as velocity. The rate at which velocity changes is referred as acceleration.

Rearranging the equation (1),
From the above equation (2), it is found that if the acceleration is
1) The object must be at rest.
2) The object must be moving in uniform or constant velocity.
Conclusion:
Hence,either object is atrest or the object moves with uniform or constant velocity.
