Question
Chapter 13.8, Problem 1CC
Summary Introduction
To determine: About molecular chaperones.
Introduction: For determining a cellular function of the protein, the amino acids should be modified. Proper folding of the protein is essential to associate with other protein subunits and to create a functional enzyme.
Summary Introduction
To determine: The function of chaperons.
Introduction: The chaperones perform an essential function in protein folding and present in all three domains of life. Trigger factor is a chaperone that helps in the folding of many cytoplasmic proteins with the help of the ribosome. The TF usually binds to the chain of polypeptide and mask the exposed hydrophobic regions to prevent their interactions with other proteins.
