Cash Register
This exercise assumes you have created the RetailItem class for
■ A method named purchase_item that accepts a RetailItem object as an argument. Each time the purchase_item method is called, the RetailItem object that is passed as an argument should be added to the list.
■ A method named get_total: that returns the total price of all the RetailItem objects stored in the CashRegister object’s internal list.
■ A method named show_items that displays data about the RetailItem objects stored in the CashRegister object’s internal list.
■ A method named clear that should clear the CashRegister object’s internal list.
Demonstrate the CashRegister class in a program that allows the user to select several items for purchase. When the user is ready to check out, the program should display a list of all the items he or she has selected for purchase, as well as the total price.

- T/F A method defined in a class can access the class' instance data without needing to pass them as parameters or declare them as local variables.arrow_forwardAssignment:The BankAccount class models an account of a customer. A BankAccount has the followinginstance variables: A unique account id sequentially assigned when the Bank Account is created. A balance which represents the amount of money in the account A date created which is the date on which the account is created. The following methods are defined in the BankAccount class: Withdraw – subtract money from the balance Deposit – add money to the balance Inquiry on:o Balanceo Account ido Date createdarrow_forwardEmployee and ProductionWorker Classes Create an Employee class that has properties for the following data: Employee name Employee number Next, create a class named ProductionWorker that is derived from the Employee class. The ProductionWorker class should have properties to hold the following data: Shift number (an integer, such as 1, 2, or 3) Hourly pay rate The workday is divided into two shifts: day and night. The Shift property will hold an integer value representing the shift that the employee works. The day shift is shift 1 and the night shift is shift 2. Create an application that creates an object of the ProductionWorker class and lets the user enter data for each of the object’s properties. Retrieve the object’s properties and display their values.arrow_forward
- Car ClassWrite a class named Car that has the following fields:• yearModel. The yearModel field is an int that holds the car’s year model.• make. The make field references a String object that holds the make of the car.• speed. The speed field is an int that holds the car’s current speed. In addition, the class should have the following constructor and other methods.• Constructor. The constructor should accept the car’s year model and make as arguments. These values should be assigned to the object’s yearModel and make fields. The constructor should also assign 0 to the speed field.• Accessors. Appropriate accessor methods should get the values stored in an object’s yearModel, make, and speed fields.• accelerate. The accelerate method should add 5 to the speed field each time it is called.• brake. The brake method should subtract 5 from the speed field each time it is called.Demonstrate the class in a program that creates a Car object, and then calls the accelerate method five…arrow_forwardMonth Class Exceptions Write a class named Month. The class should have an int field named monthNumber that holds the number of the month. For example, Janauary would be 1, February would be 2, and so forth. In addition, provide the following methods: A no-arg constructor that sets the monthNumber field to 1. A constructor that accepts the number of the month as an argument. It should set the monthNumber value to the value passed as the argument. If a value less than 1 or greater than 12 is passed, the constructor should throw an InvalidMonthNumberException. A constructor that accepts the name of the month, such as “January” or “February”, as an argument. It should set the monthNumber field to the correct corresponding value. If an invalid name is passed, the constructor should throw an InvalidMonthNameException. A setMonthNumber method that accepts an int argument, which is assigned to the monthNumber field. If a value less than 1 or greater than 12 is passed, throw an…arrow_forwardTrue or false: The default constructor is the only constructor that may be called for objects in an array of objects.arrow_forward
- Circle ClassWrite a Circle class that has the following fields:• radius: a double• PI: a final double initialized with the value 3.14159The class should have the following methods:• Constructor. Accepts the radius of the circle as an argument.• Constructor. A no-arg constructor that sets the radius field to 0.0.• setRadius. A mutator method for the radius field.• getRadius. An accessor method for the radius field.• area. Returns the area of the circle, which is calculated asarea = PI * radius * radius• diameter. Returns the diameter of the circle, which is calculated asdiameter = radius * 2• circumference. Returns the circumference of the circle, which is calculated ascircumference = 2 * PI * radiusWrite a program that demonstrates the Circle class by asking the user for the circle’s radius, creating a Circle object, and then reporting the circle’s area, diameter, and circumference.arrow_forwardFocus on classes, objects, methods and good programming style Your task is to create a BankAccount class. Class name BankAccount Attributes _balance float _pin integer Methods init () get_pin() check pin () deposit () withdraw () get_balance () The bank account will be protected by a 4-digit pin number (i.e. between 1000 and 9999). The pin should be generated randomly when the account object is created. The initial balance should be 0. get_pin () should return the pin. check_pin (pin) should check the argument against the saved pin and return True if it matches, False if it does not. deposit (amount) should receive the amount as the argument, add the amount to the account and return the new balance. withraw (amount) should check if the amount can be withdrawn (not more than is in the account), If so, remove the argument amount from the account and return the new balance if the transaction was successful. Return False if it was not. get_balance () should return the current balance.…arrow_forwardLab 2 – Designing a class This lab requires you to think about the steps that take place in a program by writing pseudocode. Read the following program prior to completing the lab. Design a class named Computer that holds the make, model, and amount of memory of a computer. Include methods to set the values for each data field, and include a method that displays all the values for each field. For the programming problem, create the pseudocode that defines the class and enter it below. Enter pseudocode herearrow_forward
- 7)Circle Class Write a Circle class that has the following fields: radius: a double PI:a final double initialized with the value 3.14159 The class should have the following methods: Constructor. Accepts the radius of the circles as an argument. Constructor. A no-arg constructor that sets the radius field to 0.0. setRadius. A mutator method for the radius field. getRadius. An accessor method for the radius field. area. Returns the area of the circle, which is calculated as area. Returns the area of the circles, which is calculated as area= PI * radius * radius diameter. Returns the diameter of the cirlce, which is calculated as diameter = radius * 2 circumference. Returns the circumference of the circle, which is calculated as circumference = 2 * PI * radius Write a program that demonstrates the Circle class by asking the user for the circles's radius, creating a Circle object, and then reporting the cirlce's area, diameter, and circumference.arrow_forwardINVENTORY CLASS You need to create an Inventory class containing the private data fields, as well as the methods for the Inventory class (object). Be sure your Inventory class defines the private data fields, at least one constructor, accessor and mutator methods, method overloading (to handle the data coming into the Inventory class as either a String and/or int/float), as well as all of the methods (methods to calculate) to manipulate the Inventory class (object). The data fields in the Inventory class include the inventory product number (int), inventory product description (String), inventory product price (float), inventory quantity on hand (int), inventory quantity on order (int), and inventory quantity sold (int). The Inventory class (java file) should also contain all of the static data fields, as well as static methods to handle the logic in counting all of the objects processed (counter), as well as totals (accumulators) for the total product inventory and the total product…arrow_forwardParent Class: Food Write a parent class called Food. A food is described by a name, the number of grams of sugar (as a whole number), and the number of grams of sodium (as a whole number). Core Class Components For the Food class, write: the complete class header the instance data variables a constructor that sets the instance data variables based on parameters getters and setters; use validity checking on the parameters where appropriate a toString method that returns a text representation of a Food object that includes all three characteristics of the food Class-Specific Method Write a method that calculates what percent of the daily recommended amount of sugar is contained in a food. The daily recommended amount might change, so the method takes in the daily allowance and then calculates the percentage. For example, let's say a food had 6 grams of sugar. If the daily allowance was 24 grams, the percent would be 0.25. For that same food, if the daily allowance was 36 grams, the…arrow_forward
