Gratuity Calculator
Design a Tips class that calculates the gratuity on a restaurant meal. Its only class member variable, taxRate, should be set by a one-parameter constructor to whatever rate is passed to it when a Tips object is created. If no argument is passed, a default tax rate of .065 should be used. The class should have just one public function, computeTip. This function needs to accept two arguments, the total bill amount and the tip rate. It should use this information to compute what the cost of the meal was before the tax was added. It should then apply the tip rate to just the meal cost portion of the bill to compute and return the tip amount. Demonstrate the class by creating a

- In PYTHON design an Employee class that has fields for the following pieces of information:• Employee name• Employee numberNext, design a class named ProductionWorker that extends the Employee class. The ProductionWorker class should have fields to hold the following information:• Shift number• Hourly pay rateThe workday is divided into shifts: day and night. The shift field will hold an int value representing shift that the employee works. The day sifts is shift 1 and the night shift is shift 2. Design the appropriate accessor and mutator methods for each class.Once you have designed the classes, design a program that creates an object of the ProductionWorker class and prompts the user to enter data for each of the object’s fields. Store the data in the object and then use the object’s accessor methods to retrieve it and display it on the screen.Program Sample Run #1The worker name is John RobinsThe worker number is 1234The shift is 1The rate is 36.0arrow_forwardProblem Statement:Define a class for a bank account that includes the following data members: Name of the depositor Account Number Type of account Balance amount in the accountThe class also contains the following member functions: A constructor to assign initial values Deposit function to deposit some amount. It should accept the amount asparameter. Withdraw function to withdraw an amount after checking the balance. Itshould accept the amount as parameter. Display function to display name and balance.arrow_forwardTrue or False A static variable is shared among all instances of a class.arrow_forward
- Employee and ProductionWorker Classes Create an Employee class that has properties for the following data: Employee name Employee number Next, create a class named ProductionWorker that is derived from the Employee class. The ProductionWorker class should have properties to hold the following data: Shift number (an integer, such as 1, 2, or 3) Hourly pay rate The workday is divided into two shifts: day and night. The Shift property will hold an integer value representing the shift that the employee works. The day shift is shift 1 and the night shift is shift 2. Create an application that creates an object of the ProductionWorker class and lets the user enter data for each of the object’s properties. Retrieve the object’s properties and display their values.arrow_forwardT/F A method defined in a class can access the class' instance data without needing to pass them as parameters or declare them as local variables.arrow_forwardObject Oriented Programming in JAVA You are part of a team writing classes for the different game objects in a video game. You need to write classes for the two human objects warrior and politician. A warrior has the attributes name (of type String) and speed (of type int). Speed is a measure of how fast the warrior can run and fight. A politician has the attributes name (of type String) and diplomacy (of type int). Diplomacy is the ability to outwit an adversary without using force. From this description identify a superclass as well as two subclasses. Each of these three classes need to have a default constructor, a constructor with parameters for all the instance variables in that class (as well as any instance variables inherited from a superclass) accessor (get) and mutator (set) methods for all instance variables and a toString method. The toString method needs to return a string representation of the object. Also write a main method for each class in which that class is…arrow_forward
- RetailItem Class Write a class named RetailItem that holds data about an item in a retail store. The class should have the following fields: description. The description field references a string object that holds a brief description of the item. • unitsonHand. The unitsOnHand field is an int variable that holds che number of units currently in inventory. price. The price field is a double that holds the item's retail price. Write a constructor that accepts arguments for each field, appropriate mutator methods that store values in these fields, and accessor methods that return the values in these fields. Once you have written the class, write a separate program that creates three RetaillItem objects and stores the following data in them: Description Units on Hand Price Item #1 Jacket 12 59.95 Item #2 Designer Jeans 40 34.95 Irem #3 Shirt 20 24.95arrow_forwardFocus on classes, objects, methods and good programming style Your task is to create a BankAccount class. Class name BankAccount Attributes _balance float _pin integer Methods init () get_pin() check pin () deposit () withdraw () get_balance () The bank account will be protected by a 4-digit pin number (i.e. between 1000 and 9999). The pin should be generated randomly when the account object is created. The initial balance should be 0. get_pin () should return the pin. check_pin (pin) should check the argument against the saved pin and return True if it matches, False if it does not. deposit (amount) should receive the amount as the argument, add the amount to the account and return the new balance. withraw (amount) should check if the amount can be withdrawn (not more than is in the account), If so, remove the argument amount from the account and return the new balance if the transaction was successful. Return False if it was not. get_balance () should return the current balance.…arrow_forward2. Car Class Write a class named car that has the following fields: ▪ yearModel. The year Model field is an int that holds the car's year model. ▪ make. The make field is a String object that holds the make of the car, such as "Ford", "Chevrolet", "Honda", etc. ▪ speed. The speed field is an int that holds the car's current speed. In addition, the class should have the following methods. ■ Constructor. The constructor should accept the car's year model and make as arguments. These values should be assigned to the object's year Model and make fields. The constructor should also assign 0 to the speed field.arrow_forward
