Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Photosynthesis in plants consists of the light reactions and the Calvin cycle. In the light reactions during photosynthesis, chlorophyll and other molecules located in the thylakoid membranes of the chloroplast absorb sunlight energy and convert it into chemical energy. In Calvin cycle, the carbon is captured from atmospheric carbon dioxide by using energy harnessed during light reactions.
