Summary Introduction
To analyse:
The factors that make opportunistic mycoses a growing medical problem.
Introduction:
Kingdom fungi consists of more than 100,000 members and a majority of them are free-living saprobes. However, a few of them are pathogenic to humans. Most human infections by fungi happen due to accidental exposure. There are two main types of fungal pathogens: primary pathogens that can infect healthy persons, and opportunistic pathogens that only attack persons with a weak immunity.
