Network Traffic All book orders received at the Order Department at OHaganBooks.com are transmitted through a small computer network to the Shipping Department. The following diagram shows the network (which uses two intermediate computers as routers), together with some of the average daily traffic measured in book orders:
a. Set up a system of linear equations in which the unknowns give the average traffic along the paths labeled x, y, z, w, and find the general solution.
b. What is the minimum volume of traffic along y?
c. What is the maximum volume of traffic along w?
d. If there is no traffic along z, find the volume of traffic along all the paths.
e. If there is the same volume of traffic along y and z, what is the volume of traffic along w?
