Chapter 10, Problem 2TQ
Summary Introduction
The process of replication, transcription, and translation are collectively known as the central dogma of molecular biology. This mechanism involves in the transfer of genetic information from DNA to protein. The synthesis of two identical copies of DNA molecules from a single DNA sequence is called replication. Synthesis of RNA molecule from the complementary DNA sequence is known as transcription. The transcription produces three kinds of RNA molecules such as messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). In translation, protein molecules are synthesized from mRNA sequences.
