There are two steps to this assignment: 1) Develop a SWOT analysis for a company. (See detailed instructions below) 2) Based on your SWOT, make three recommendations to your company regarding new product or service ideas. One of these ideas will be the focus of your marketing plan. Part 1: Develop a SWOT Select a company that already exists and that you would like to develop a new product or service for. Then research that company to create a SWOT analysis. It is critical that a company understands its internal strengths and weaknesses and the external environment in terms of opportunities and threats. Develop at least three items for each area: Strengths (3), Weaknesses (3), Opportunities (3), and Threats (3). Under the SWOT table/chart, you will elaborate on the information in your SWOT. Make sure each categories (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) is clearly labeled. Put enough information into each description so I can tell what you mean. You will NEED to research your company, industry and competitors. What does your company do? Who are your company's target markets? Make sure to document your sources. You should use the internet to research the competition. Be sure to keep the correct citation of your source and use it in your paper where appropriate. You need to use an in-text citation whenever the information is not from your own head. Competitive information is NEVER from your own head - you found it online someplace. Notate it correctly using MLA formatting. You will also need a Works Cited page. See the OWL site at Purdue if you need formatting help. Part 2: Recommendations Based on the information in your SWOT analysis, make three (3) new product/service recommendations to your company. One of these three recommendations will be the focus of your marketing plan. Indicate the target market for each of these recommendations. Again, your recommendations need to be based on information you have presented in the SWOT section. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do some research to make sure your product/service ideas are new innovations

There are two steps to this assignment:
1) Develop a SWOT analysis for a company. (See detailed instructions below)
2) Based on your SWOT, make three recommendations to your company regarding new product or service ideas. One of these ideas will be the focus of your marketing plan.
Part 1: Develop a SWOT
Select a company that already exists and that you would like to develop a new product or service for. Then research that company to create a SWOT analysis.
It is critical that a company understands its internal strengths and weaknesses and the external environment in terms of opportunities and threats. Develop at least three items for each area:
- Strengths (3),
- Weaknesses (3),
- Opportunities (3), and
- Threats (3).
Part 2: Recommendations
Based on the information in your SWOT analysis, make three (3) new product/service recommendations to your company. One of these three recommendations will be the focus of your marketing plan. Indicate the target market for each of these recommendations. Again, your recommendations need to be based on information you have presented in the SWOT section.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do some research to make sure your product/service ideas are new innovations!
