Why Do You Admire Helen Keller

Helen Keller The definition of heroine is “is a woman, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities” (“Dictionary”). Helen Keller was a woman who was an important role model, and trailblazer for the deaf and blind community. Even a person with all their senses has not achieved as much she has. Helen Keller was a hero because she faced many challenges as a deaf blind woman, she won different awards in her life, and made many contributions to the world. First reason Helen Keller is a hero because she has faced many challenges, one of the first challenges she faced was she blind and deaf.

I grew up watching my mother strive to give me a better life and become a better person. Amongst great difficulty, she decided to finish school and attend university. Her hard work and determination have marked and defined my life. Every day she had to work, then go to university and later take care of me. She excelled in every aspect of her life, teaching me that the impossible is overcome through hard work and

If you really knew me, you would know that I am ever so lucky to have my mom. I have a mother who cares about me, supports me, makes sacrifices for me, and constantly does what she can to help me. If it wasn’t for my mom I don’t know where I would be. I couldn’t ever put into words how thankful I am for her. My mom is as strong as Hercules. She is a single mom and I admire her for all the strength she has. She does it all by herself. I know it is stressful on her sometimes, but somehow she stays positive and calm as a peaceful sleep. I have great respect for my mom. I’ll admit my mom is a thorn in my side sometimes, but I love her and could not live without her.

Most people don't dedicate their lives to help others, especially if they have disabilities themselves, but Helen Keller is a different story. At 19 months old, Helen Keller was diagnosed with a disease that led her to be deaf and blind. A true hero is someone who is dedicated to help others in need no matter the circumstances/struggle he or she faces, never gives up, and is an inspiration for others. Helen Keller is a hero because she overcame the struggle of being deaf and blind by never giving up, dedicated her life to help others, and made change in the world despite her disabilities.

The first footsteps we've ever taken are the ones that have imprinted the inside of our mothers' stomachs. Mothers don't just give birth to us, they give us a life to live. Now, some might say mothers are supposed to give birth; it's a natural process that is their duty. It's physically straining to have a child, but it takes a true warrior to raise a child. It is often forgotten how much they continuously provide for us and how many sacrifices they make. My mother has been my inspiration, not because of her title as my mother but because she is the prime example of a what I call a hero.

Growing up, my mom was a big impact on my life. Two days of the week she was a dental assistant. The other days she was just my mom. When she came home on the days after work she would smell minty and fresh from working in her dental office. I feel blessed to have been able to have my mother as a constant influence in my life. She showed me that I could be as mother as well as have a good job; I did not need to pick one or the other. My mother taught me how to stand up for myself and how not to be a pushover. One of the most important things I think that my mother taught me was how to be compassionate. Her parents hired a teacher, Anne Sullivan, who taught Helen everything she needed to know. After Keller went to college, she wrote many books for the blind, and she went around the world lecturing to people. She also founded and promoted The American Foundation for the Blind and many other charities. Things changed for the better because of the hard work that Helen Keller did. she changed the way the world viewed people with disabilities. She taught others that it doesn't matter who you are or what gender you

Her history and background are different from everyone else, she has many obsticles that she overcame and became her accomplishments, and her legacy, she left behind is still important for everyone to hear.

Heroes are always regarded as models full of power, wisdom and strength, people look up to them and waiting for them to guide their way of life. The influence can be long lasting to several generations. But what makes a hero?

Helen Keller was a woman who impacted American history. She was known for many quotes, books, and speeches. Many people have heard of the illness she had but many people also know that the illness did not stop her from doing anything. Helen could not hear or see. Helen once said “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight without a vision.” Helen sure had a vison but no sight, she lead out her vison until she died.

Helen Keller created hope for many people with disabilities, used managing impulsivity and gathering information from all senses there are also many others that she used, innovated ways to overcome deafness and blindness, and illuminated the world by writing books on how she came over those disabilities and grew to have an almost normal life.

Helen Keller was an American author who lived to educate and inspire others to become the most unique author of her time. She was a gifted woman who had exceptional writing abilities. She utilized simplistic style to correspond with all varieties of people. She wrote to inspire people and to help disabled people achieve their goals. Her writing style was full of many types of diction, syntactic devices, and patterns of imagery to exemplify her life chronicle. Keller used an unadorned tone with superb expressions and descriptions.

From an early age I learned that our very best is often brought to action when we willingly take on challenges and persevere with grace through trying times. As a widowed, single mother, my mom strove for excellence in every area of her life in order to put food on the table for her children. She studied to be a nurse, quickly rose in to administration, became the first in our family to obtain a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and earned a seat as a director for an international healthcare organization. Her determination and positive spirit served as a great example and sparked a passionate drive in my life to help others while striving for greatness.

The third aspect I admire in my mother is her generosity. She is always buying things for others. We aren’t a rich family by any means, but she is always giving. Just a few weeks ago my mother’s friend was talking about not being able to afford a new winter coat for her son. That night my mother went out and bought him one. Then about a month ago my mother heard about a woman who is a recovering drug addict.

There are many people in this world that we consider great humanitarians. Mother Teresa was a unique individual that stood out of the crowd because of her involvement in helping the sick, poor and dying. She spent everyday of her adulthood caring for people that were in need by setting up the Missionary of Charity along with many homes for the people she cared for. Mother Teresa won many awards throughout her lifetime for her dedication to care for people in need. It is no wonder that Mother Teresa won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and is considered a saint.
