Memorable Moment “ Let us go, please.” I yelled.
“Ok where do you want to go?” Mom asked.
“To the Lake, so pack.” I said
My mom, my sister Hailey ,and packed. I packed the cooler for the drinks and food. While I opened the freezer, I saw all of the frost on the ice container and I saw fog come out of the freezer. As my face got cooled I tried to get the ice container I put both arms in the freezer and reached and reached. As I kept on reaching I felt all of the cold air go on my arms all the way down my legs. As I finally picked up the large white, plastic, ice container I felt all of the frost on the box now on my hands. As I set the container full of ice on the island. Then I finally lifted up the ice container and dumped the ice in the cooler I put the container in the freezer. As my mom told me to watch Hailey while she goes to get soda. I told Hailey to pack whatever she wants to pack. As Hailey was packing I was sitting there listening to music on my phone. When I heard my mom pull in into the driveway and into the garage I took of my headphones and packed the cooler into the enormous trunk. While my sister was getting buckled into her carseat I got hers stuff and put it in the trunk. My mom and I got buckled and mom pulled out of the garage and we were on the road in no time, but before we went to the lake we stopped at Sara's Ice Cream Shop. I got a large root beer float while my mom got an Icecream cone and so did my sister. 30 minutes later we have arrived at the lake.
As I stepped out of the car I could feel the blazing hot concrete. I ran to the cool relaxing water. My mom took out the towels and the cooler out of the car and set our spot up on the smooth, dry, and crunchy sand. As my 2 year old sister got her princess floaties on I saw a 10 foot cliff jump spot. As I walked up the steep, slippery, and light green mossy rocks. As I got to the top I got nervous, at that very moment somebody did a belly flop. While they did the belly flop I saw some pebbles fall of the 10 foot cliff. As I stepped up to the edge of the 10 foot it looked like a 15 foot cliff. As I jumped of the cliff I did a cannonball, as I was doing a cannonball I felt all of the air blowing in my face, I opened my mouth then
Once there was a very active 14 year old boy named Joseph Brook. He and his dad ran a plumbing business. His day was viciously abusing him, so Joseph had a lot of bruises all over his body. One day, Joseph and his dad went to a extremely nice house which was owned by lawyers. In the gigantic house, there was a funny and friendly 14 year old girl named Madison. When Joseph and his father arrived at the house, Joseph met Madison. They started to hang out the rest of the summer before Madison had to go to prep school during the year, but not on the weekends because her parents were there. Joseph walked 7 miles to and from her house just to spend a couple of hours with her. During her school breaks and after school, they would skate on the ice and make snowballs and
It was a cold Friday evening, i was walking home from school and i heard a scream coming from my neighbors house. i walked up the drive and knocked on the door, but nobody answered. i slowly opened the door and creeped in.the house looked empty. i looked around and noticed a blood trail leading to the upstairs hallway. in the hallway there was a kitchen knife on the little corner stand by the stairs. i grabbed the knife just incase i got attaked. i heard crying coming from the other side of one of the upstairs doors. when i opened the door the first thing that i saw was a body lying on the floor and a young girl was hovering over it crying. She looked lke she was either 3 or4. The girl said “ i had to or he would have killed me.” i examoned
There were thoughts of actually dying and that gave me a strong excitement. The ride had begun it was slowly going up at first I could see myself getting higher and watch my mom wave at me. All of a sudden the ride had stopped. It was about to get much faster and at that exact moment my mind went blank. The ride had started going up instantaneously as I started to yell at the top of my lungs. I was faced toward the theme park as I went higher I felt butterflies squeeze my stomach. Once I reached the top the ride it stopped moving. The whole theme park was so small from the top of the ride I was surprised to realize that my mom looked like an ant. The rays of the sun were flashing into my face but I was feeling fantastic. Suddenly, there was a sound of gas release and boom the ride started to go down and things started to get bigger again.

I had lacrosse practice on the hottest day of summer. The best day was going to jump off a cliff and die. Practice was done and I was hungry for food. I got in my mom’s car and asked my mom to go somewhere and get some food. We went to Taco Bell. I finished and was ready to go home and get a shower. We were going down the road and suddenly my mom got a phone call from my aunt. As soon as my mom started to talk to my aunt she started to cry and break down. She
One day I was sitting in English class doing my work. Then a flying whale flew into the wall and destroyed it. It flew over to me and swallowed me whole. It then just flew back to the ocean. While in the whale's stomach I saw some interesting things like a dead person, a needle with steroids in it, a few soccer balls, a rabbit, and a roll of duct tape. After I had been in the whale's stomach for about 3 hours, it started to shake violently. Then something was squeezing the life out of the whale. All of the sudden i was flying through the air along with everything else. I landed on some sort of island.
It had been a long tiring day ,my sister and i had gone to our mimi’s house for the day. She took us to see the movie in side out, my sister balling at the end. We also when out to eat at ihop, and shopping. My parents slept all day so they wouldn’t be tried to drive all night to Colorado and get there at about noon. We didn't leave until about 1 or 2 am, but I couldn't sleep I was to excited. Every time I closed my eyes eyes they just bursted open again. I was to excited to start driving, “can we go yet?” An hour of waiting, listening to the clock tick, we finally left! My sister watched frozen over, and over, and over again i think i heard let it go a milion times! I looked out the window, staring at the sea of green
My family and I went to Colorado Spring for christmas break. We packed up all of our stuff then we put it all in the car. When we got done putting all of our stuff in the car we left we got on the highway. As soon as we got on the highway I took a nap. I woke up when we were in Colorado we were almost there. I was talking to my parents until we stop to get gas. I sat in the car until my dad got done filling the car up. We drove for a little bit and we were in Colorado Springs. We drove to my Aunt's house when we got there I took my stuff in the room I stay in. My cousin came from downstairs and said “Hi ” then he went back downstairs. My aunt put on a movie to all watch together. My grandma was cooking something for all of to eat when the movies was over I went to the kitchen to eat. I went to the kitchen table to talk to my dad. When my dad got done eating We heard a knock on the door we answered it and it was on of my uncles and aunts then my cousins walked in.
“Are we there yet are we there yet?” My brother screamed into my ear. I turned around half awake and quickly said “no”. For some reason I was completely freezing and I looked out my window and saw snow. Finally the little cogs in my brain started turning and I realized that I was in Lake Tahoe. My family takes a trip to Lake Tahoe every winter and we were almost there. My brother turning five this year it would probably be the first trip he remembers. What seemed like an eternity later we finally arrived at our hotel. Just like every 10 year old I was pretending to be asleep when we arrived so my dad would carry me into our room. Unfortunately it was about -100000 degrees and I was only wearing a pair of pants and short sleeves. My dad was carrying me for so long I actually fell asleep and then awoke the next day.
It was Friedrich Nietzschehas who said, “What doesn’t kill you makes, you stronger”. I like to call these moments in a person’s life, “defining moments”. Additionally, I like most people, have had a few of these “defining moments”; probably more than one person should. Growing up, I had a hard time accepting one of my “won’t kill you-make you stronger” moments. It was a moment of betrayal and deceit, inflicted upon by a person I trusted fully and completely, with my life. My mother.
Many people influenced and events my reading and writing development throughout my childhood from my mother, my elementary librarian, and Sesame Street, to getting my first pair of glasses. We all have defining moments in our lives where we can look back and say, “That moment changed my life.” This is the story of the defining moment that changed the way I read and write, and I learned it from a whale!
When I went upstairs to look there was a game room and bathroom and a little lap sitting on a table. I went more towards the lamp. Zoom!!! The lamp slides off the table and hits the wall and breaks. I run down stairs shaking. I tripped over a loose board. I hit my head on the stairs I felt like it was the end. After a few minutes I woke up in the basement I was thinking “ How did I get down here”. Then I looked up and I a little boy was looking at me. He says “ Are you ok”? I looked at him “yes thanks” for helping me. You look scared. Yes I am I came here to explore it. I fell down the stairs and hit my head as the lamp fell off the table. Sorry about that was my dad
Memories of a Personal Event The door slammed shut. I wasn't sure what I was going to hear. To be
My most memorable childhood event was when I was 15 years old. It was the Fourth of July. A big family vacation a barbeque, over night stay and out of town trip to six flags, and I had a blast the night before me, my mom, sisters and brother packed our bags to stay the night over my cousin house in Goodlettsville ,Tennessee. She had the biggest house ever I thought it was a mansion; six bedrooms two an half bath, a swimming pool, a game/movie room with a nice big kitchen. It was something that I was not use, knowing that we stayed in a three bedroom based on an income apartment on the East side of Nashville.
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers' license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
