Thomas Jefferson is the most qualified candidate for president because of his experience, he was smart and planned 100 years in advance, and he helped America move forward. Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, VA. His education was William and Mary College. Thomas Jefferson was the nation's first secretary of state through the years 1789-1794. Thomas Jefferson is most qualified for president because he has a lot of experience. On June 1, 1779, the Virginia legislature elected Jefferson as the state's second governor. He was a lawyer in his school and from 1767-1774 Jefferson practiced law in Virginia trying many cases and winning a lot of them. His two years as governor began Jefferson's career. Thomas Jefferson also was planning for an agriculture land. He follows George Washington's steps because he said to always plan 100 years ahead. He once was in France and he worked there. Then Thomas Jefferson was shocked by the death of his wife, Martha Jefferson on September 6, 1782, at the age of 34. He was Admitted to Virginia bar in 1767. Then he was elected to Virginia House of Burgesses in 1769.Then he went to represent to the Continental Congress in 1775 through 1776. Then he was Elected Governor of Virginia in 1779 and 1780. Then he was sent to England to treat for peace with Gr. Britain in 1782. Then he was the minister to the French Court, 1785. Then he became the Secretary of State in 1789 He then established Democratic-Republican party in 1793 and he became Vice President of the United States in 1796. Then he became President in 1801 and established University of Virginia in 1810.
